Just posting for opinions as I'm curious. What do you think will be the next lot of things he announces? Other than wearing masks.
I did hear it was Monday the 23rd. Is this correct?

@DuncinToffee

They have quite clearly said we have to be prepared for another peak in the winter because they now know the virus survives at lower temperatures , so what do you want to happen ?

HannahStern · 15/07/2020 18:56

@frostedviolets

No idea but I’ve been quite impressed by Boris as PM so far and I was never a fan, I didn’t vote for him.
I'm sure undertakers have done well.
oldmum22 · 15/07/2020 18:59

His next announcement will be ....." I am going to sack my advisor Dominic Cummings".

HP1092 · 15/07/2020 18:59

I'm just hoping he will say I can go and get my eyebrows threaded Grin especially as DP is allowed to get a beard trim at the barbers 🤔

lilgreen · 15/07/2020 19:01

Hopefully that he’s resigning and taking his puppets(Gove and Hancock) with him.

lilgreen · 15/07/2020 19:02

Oh and the twat Cummings obvs!

Are you out of your mind?!
ChicCroissant · 15/07/2020 19:04

His next announcement will be a reversal of one he's made before.

The flip-flopping fool Hmm

Uhm, what about the PM actually reading the report and explain what measures are being taken so that the country is prepared

betteliefsen · 15/07/2020 19:05

He'll backtrack and change his mind about something, maybe masks will become necessary in schools or he'll say they aren't necessary in shops it depends which way the wind is blowing

DuncinToffee · 15/07/2020 19:08

It will be a three word slogan

Topseyt · 15/07/2020 19:08

Anyone who is impressed with Boris has seriously low standards.

He was being urged during February to consider lockdown but couldn't even be bothered to attend some of the COBRA meetings and followed the herd immunity policy for far too long.

He defended Dominic Cummings for his ill-advised trip from London to Durham and claimed that Cummings having a four year old child was a unique set of circumstances. Cummings hadn't even lasted one night with the lockdown rules.

He is a bumbler who gets easily flustered, especially at PMQs on Wednesdays. He just blusters and is hardly articulate sounding at all.

Furlough wasn't announced by Boris. Too intelligent for him. It was devised by Rishi Sunak (I admit that I do quite like Rishi), who is way better at explaining himself than Boris will ever be.

randomer · 15/07/2020 19:10

I don't think its helpful to attack people ,but please can anybody just give a few bullet points as to where you think BJ and/or any of his ministers are impressive. Please. Anything.

ssd · 15/07/2020 19:10

@OnlyFoolsnMothers

Impressed? I’m impressed covid didn’t kill him but that’s about it
I would have changed impressed for depressed.
roxfox · 15/07/2020 19:10

@LaurieFairyCake

Impressed ?????ShockShockShock

Put down the gin it's too early

😂
danni0509 · 15/07/2020 19:11

@HP1092 piss take or what but my dh got his eyebrows threaded by his Turkish barber when he got his hair cut I was seething when he came home mine are joining in one big unibrow

Kazzyhoward · 15/07/2020 19:12

I haven't been impressed with a Tory Prime Minister since before I was born.

I've not been impressed with ANY prime minister since before I was born. Brown and Blair were every bit as useless as the Tory ones.

Bizawit · 15/07/2020 19:12
frosted violets are you thinking of Sweden? The country who's head epidemiologist has admitted they were wrong not to lock down?

m.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/sweden-coronavirus-lockdown-did-not-work_uk_5ed75fdfc5b6a209e0b9d271?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAMWGnMEnIVApTyu4ncH0wxG_j7rmRRgpWZVbBjubvG09LA8mNlp5V_QNa3DEEGdRFo0QR5aM0jStH7i0YMLZ-jbvTKRCvsAnzD8RpsJkI7Kngz1ReH0d3OfpkSMvbiJuQ14-0zRL5cwATHfycoQtXAQPrO50Y7fWv6lHE32mb9pB
This is misreporting- he never said they were wrong not to lockdown. He admitted that they had made mistakes - good for him- but he has never supported lockdown. He continues to say that lockdown was madness.
Ps. Sweden are doing just fine at controlling their epidemic.

Next Boris announcement.
newusername2009 · 15/07/2020 19:12

You do realise Rishi works for Boris - right?

No one could have made the right decisions here and I think he has been responsible for saving a lot of businesses. Yes plenty will still go bust and we are going to head into a very difficult time economically but he has saved a lot.

Anyway this forum seems to be full of people who know better than anyone else so there is no convincing

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 15/07/2020 19:13

randomer the only one I can say is seemingly competent is Sunak, the others ....no words!

Alsohuman · 15/07/2020 19:13

@oldmum22

His next announcement will be ....." I am going to sack my advisor Dominic Cummings".
Only in our dreams, unfortunately.
OnlyFoolsnMothers · 15/07/2020 19:14

Brown and Blair were every bit as useless as the Tory ones here here, though I think Brown never got a chance with the amount of shit Blair left him with

noblegiraffe · 15/07/2020 19:14

As a business owner we have had access to information at all times and guidance

Shame they didn’t do the same for education, it’s been a total shambles.

alreadytaken · 15/07/2020 19:15

the only impressive thing I can think of that's he's done is to get is ministers to publicly make excuses for Dom. We all know his story had more holes than a string vest but Boris got them to tar themselves with defending the indefensible.

The best thing I can say about Boris is that I cant think of any of his ministers who would do a better job, this really is a cabinet of incompetents. Maybe Rishi would do if he wasnt the wrong colour for their racist supporters.

Kazzyhoward · 15/07/2020 19:15

the only one I can say is seemingly competent is Sunak, the others ....no words!

He can talk the talk but is pretty poor with the detail. More holes in his furlough and small business support than Swiss cheese and not willing to listen to valid complaints/objections. I don't think he's a clue what he's doing but he looks good in the media and that's all that matters for politicians of all colours.
