AIBU to think this and what do your DC’s friends call you? DH heard the friends today and he says he thinks they are “rude” and it should be “Mrs” or “Mr. “ WIBU?

My parents are in their 80'a (well my mum would be if she were alive). My friends always called them by their Christian names. My children's friends call me by my first name and my children call their friends parents similarly. Your husband is harking back to the 1950's
I'm afraid.

When I was a child I had to call my friends parents and parents friends Mr or Mrs but I'm 52.

Same. I think it's a generational thing, but it would be odd for a child to call me Ms/Mrs/Miss Whatever these days.
