I joined MN probably about 15 years ago when my first was born and it helped me loads then and through two subsequent miscarriages.
I was MsMummy then.
I drifted away and recently came back to ask for parents' insights into something I was researching but couldn't remember my login so had to set up a new account.
Since coming back FWR has been a bloody godsend. A lifeline in all the madness.
But it's also been really wonderful to see names of people still here who were active members and gave me advice when I first joined all those years ago.
That was it really. Just wanted to wave at the long-timers and say Hi. And thanks for being fabulous.

How long ago was the hacking? I remember I was on holiday but not which year. 5 maybe?
MsEllany · 02/07/2020 10:02

Maybe ten years or so?

I found it by accident. Googled something and found a funny thread on AIBU. Then I lost the site and found Netmums Shock which I joined for a little while. I was torn to shreds as the worst person alive because I asked if it was unreasonable to consider a holiday with my newborn and not my stepson. In my post I mentioned I had said it was unfair to DSS but my sister had said it wasn’t so I wanted a broader opinion. Holy cow. Anyway, after the blistering attack on my character I just deregistered and found my way here.

I’ve been here just over 16 years. DS was a few months old and now he’s waiting for his GCSE results

Stannisbaratheonsboxofmatches · 02/07/2020 10:08

7 years.

Since I was pregnant with my youngest and was concerned about scan results.

I’m quite aware that still makes me a newbie!

AllNewThings · 02/07/2020 10:08

18 years. Couldn't be without it.

Stannisbaratheonsboxofmatches · 02/07/2020 10:11

howsicklyarsekissy · 02/07/2020 10:13

Serin · 02/07/2020 10:15

18 years!
In the days when the internet was dial up!!

ComeBy · 02/07/2020 10:18

16 or 17 years.

With some breaks and in the last 5 years many name changes and log ins. (Security issues, doxxing, left when MNHQ did that ridiculous thing with embedding advertising links into words within individual posts, protested during the ‘consultation period’ was told we would ‘get used to it’ so de-regged. Came back for FWR).

ComeBy · 02/07/2020 10:20

Stan a net as in before we ever knew the net in Mumsnet could be the internet because it didn’t exist...

Rockbird · 02/07/2020 10:21

Just over 13 years. It drives me crazy but I can't keep away.

ChanklyBore · 02/07/2020 10:23

14 years for me
