I joined MN probably about 15 years ago when my first was born and it helped me loads then and through two subsequent miscarriages.
I was MsMummy then.
I drifted away and recently came back to ask for parents' insights into something I was researching but couldn't remember my login so had to set up a new account.
Since coming back FWR has been a bloody godsend. A lifeline in all the madness.
But it's also been really wonderful to see names of people still here who were active members and gave me advice when I first joined all those years ago.
That was it really. Just wanted to wave at the long-timers and say Hi. And thanks for being fabulous.

18 years here as well. Lots of name changes.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 05/07/2020 07:43

14 years - Used to post Frequently when I first joined but stopped posting when everything was hacked and am less inclined to post now.

bumblingbovine49 · 05/07/2020 07:46

about 15 years but I've only changed my name once. i am just to lazy to bother with another one. Yes yes I know all about people likely possibly recognising me but I can't gather the energy to care enough to change my username. I also can't ever seem to think of a good new one so don't bother. I hardly recognise any names from when I first stated posting nowadays, so assuming some of them are still around, I seem to be in a small minority in having kept a a user name name for ages

BGirlBouillabaisse · 05/07/2020 08:22

8 years (PG with DS1) but I've de- and re-reg'd a number of times. DS1 had an autism diagnosis last week so I've signed up again for the SEN help.

I found out a world of info about breastfeeding. DS2 has only just stopped at four years old. FWR has opened my eyes to the anti-women sentiment in society. I also come on to giggle in the middle of the night at threads. 'Let him rim some 99 year olds, OP' was the last time I properly woke everyone up snorting.

TheMotherofAllDilemmas · 05/07/2020 08:26

15 here as well. I lost my original identity after the hacking. I change my user name yearly as I put so much stuff about my life here (mumsnet has been a life saviour) I don’t want to be identified.

GinWithRosie · 05/07/2020 09:01

9 years, give or take...several name changes, three different countries, 4 new jobs (same sector), several failed diets, two graduations (not my own!), a wedding (daughter's) and a new grandchild 👍

We've been through a lot together MN 😍

Davros · 05/07/2020 11:54

Z0rr0 I assume your name has changed over the years?

unchienandalusia · 05/07/2020 12:41

11 years, when pregnant with DS10. Many names.

LegitSnack · 05/07/2020 12:57

A few years, maybe.

A read an "article" the DM had lifted from AIBU about a woman who was expected to pay for schooling for her stepchildren, I think.

Carlamity · 05/07/2020 13:07

18 years. Has helped with so many situations.

Z0rr0 · 05/07/2020 13:13

@Davros

Z0rr0 I assume your name has changed over the years?
I've only recently come back in the last six months or so. I used to be MsMummy 15 years ago. Probably wandered off about 11 years ago with just occasional visits.

I have absolutely no idea, but probably 15 years or so, I lurked for a long while before signing up, how can you all remember these things?

I used to be very active on yahoo groups when I was doing IVF 20 odd years ago and made some really good friends through that, and I remember the dial up, some time after that I suppose

AnotherBoredOne · 05/07/2020 14:02

About 13 years for me

triptrapdollydumpling · 05/07/2020 14:21

19 years but lurked for far more than I’ve been registered for.

Kust · 05/07/2020 14:52

Not sure. Around 16 years I guess.

I've change name 4 times this week alone.

JuanNil · 05/07/2020 16:27

This is fascinating. I've been a member for I believe six months, if any longer then only a couple of months more. I feel like I've been here forever. I've learned a lot and really had my eyes opened to a lot. I think I was very naive about a lot of things before joining in discussions on MN. I'm amazed to see that some have been here for decades. Makes me feel very excited for what I can look forward to Grin

Phthalo · 05/07/2020 16:30

11 years on and off, started when I was bored out of my brain in a call centre aged 19. Mainly the recipes/meal planning threads which used to be awesome. Had various accounts over the years as I end up annoying myself and getting addicted then leaving for a while. Always come crawling back though as there are so often questions that I need answers to and Google doesn't give you the sounding board that mumsnet does.

justanotherneighinparadise · 05/07/2020 16:36

I can remember exactly when I first joined and it was 6 years ago. I had secondary infertility and was searching for advice on what to do and stumbled across this place. It seemed HUGE and within a week I’d managed to get myself blasted in a thread and was quite shell shocked.

sideorderofchips · 05/07/2020 17:51

About 10 years ago. Can mainly be found on the Christmas or preppers board when I post

Davros · 05/07/2020 18:49

I can remember easily because it was just after DD was born and she's 17. I absolutely love MN but keep quiet about it in RL because lots of people have opinions about it that I don't want to hear, DH included

Drogonssmile · 05/07/2020 18:58

Thanks @Sparklingbrook for the date info, I never knew penis beaker was on my pfbs actual birthday Grin I shall forever remember it as so.

I joined just before that looking for pregnancy advice so about 7 years for me. I hated NM. Too twinkly.

Lardlizard · 29/07/2020 21:06

Since I was pregnant with dd who is now 13
