I joined MN probably about 15 years ago when my first was born and it helped me loads then and through two subsequent miscarriages.
I was MsMummy then.
I drifted away and recently came back to ask for parents' insights into something I was researching but couldn't remember my login so had to set up a new account.
Since coming back FWR has been a bloody godsend. A lifeline in all the madness.
But it's also been really wonderful to see names of people still here who were active members and gave me advice when I first joined all those years ago.
That was it really. Just wanted to wave at the long-timers and say Hi. And thanks for being fabulous.

I never changed my name much as l don't post outing details

gamerchick · 02/07/2020 14:40

7 years I think. I don't start threads and don't feel the urge to name change yet.

Bebbanburger · 02/07/2020 14:50

I don't know, probably about 8 years. Used to be on babyworld and had a lot of support and made friends on there. This is different for me. I prefer it to be very anonymous. I like to read for a laugh, and for a bit of moral outrage, and to get opinions on everything.

elQuintoConyo · 02/07/2020 16:07

Mid-2011 when I was pregnant. One name change. I've started a couple of threads - one when we adopted our super-scared dog. I don't post as much as I used to, I read much much more. I've made some lovely new friends since lockdown from the What's Happening in Spain thread and we speak off-MN.

I was involved in the Christmas present swap/donation thing for a couple of years, I miss that.

DramaAlpaca · 02/07/2020 16:11

Just over 8 years, though I lurked a bit for a while before that.

LovingLen · 02/07/2020 16:11

About 11 years, I have about 6 names which I swop around and rarely start threads apart from in the telly forums sometimes

feelingdizzy · 02/07/2020 16:13

Not sure about 12/14 years I think. My kids were small and now off to uni/college !!!

thesunwillout · 02/07/2020 16:17

15 yrs, just after ex DH left. DC was 3.

comingintomyown · 02/07/2020 16:17

Ten years almost to the day with one name change
I came across it and joined a quite long running thread on Relationships called Dumplings No More ( been dumped by your DH) It really was a life saver , had a few meet ups and made an amazing friend who I still see regularly.

DustyMaiden · 02/07/2020 16:21

Since ‘twas all fields around here.

MiniDoofa · 02/07/2020 17:53

About 13 years. Has been both informative and entertaining over the years!
At the time when I first came in I’m sure I watched a tv show with Justine (founder) where they helped people out with parenting tips...no idea what it was or whether in fact I dreamt it 😂

Sevo7 · 02/07/2020 18:17

About 14 years. Found the site whilst looking for conception/infertility advice and it will always be in my heart as my first ever positive pregnancy test was with free clearblue digital pregnancy test MN was trialling at the time. Started a thread because I thought maybe they were faulty Blush that pregnancy resulted in Ds who is 11 now.

Sevo7 · 02/07/2020 18:19
