Are this Govt fit for office??

Ok here we go. Hand on heart are this Govt fit for office? Before you answer take into consideration.

  1. Huge balls up with PPE at beginning of pandemic.
  2. The Cummings debacle and how they defended the indefensible.

3.The handling of the schools and the millions of children not having any education and still no concrete plans in place.
4.Track and trace app being about as useful as a chocolate teapot, although they were told it would not work 2 months ago.
5.The U turn after pressure on free school meals.
  1. Spending a million pound painting a bloody aeroplane.
  2. Dominic Raab likening Taking the knee to something from Game of Thrones.

They seem to stumble from one disaster to another. Are other first world countries governments as incompetent as ours seem to be?

Second Rule of Tory:

No More Old Etonians!

We mean it this time! We Really, Really Do!

...Oh, but he can say Latin. Go on, just one more.

@CendrillonSings

Would you describe the governments of Scandinavia as all stupid old socialists?
Genuine question. I'm interested to hear if you think they're all run terribly and if so what is it that's so bad there and so much better, because of our Tory government, here?

How’s that class war stuff working out for you? Oh yeah, it got Labour utterly smashed. Here’s a tip: attending excellent schools and universities isn’t a crime.

But conspiring with your fraudster mate from said excellent school to have a journalist beaten up is a crime.

Actually it's:

First Rule of Labour:

Put a bunch of stupid socialists up for election. Lose massively. Blame the leadership, and make a big change and get a leader with a brain. Moan for five years, but not nearly as much as the current Tory leaders deserve.

First rule of currentTories:

Put a bunch of stupid Tories up for election. Win, mainly because the other lot messed up their campaign badly. Assume that this means the electorate love absolutely everything you do. Spend five years making a mess of most things, to the extent that it costs many people's lives, and, if challenged, respond with 'But, but, but Jeremy Corbyn!' ignoring the fact that he has never been, and never will be, Prime Minister.

.

The government is not fit for office, and I'm basing that on the ppe situation alone, I'm considering legal action over it as it did cost some doctors and nurses their lives.

What I want to know, is how did Gavin Williamson get that job???! I mean, what happened there?

I’m sure he’s a nice enough bloke and everything, but how dopey can you get?

He just repeats the same phrases over and over. Does he actually know what’s happening at all? It’s astonishing.

Yesterday, he kept droning on about the Year 10s and 12s who “are now back at school.” Er, NO THEY ARE NOT, YOU DIMWIT. Somebody, give this man a shake or something and wake him up. The only “back to school” my Year 10 and 12 and getting is two half days each. And the same goes for all the DC I know.

You ask him anything about schools and he just witters on about keyworkers’ children and nurseries. YES WE KNOW THIS BUT WHAT ANOUT RVERUONE ELSE? WHAT ABOUT THE ONES WHO HAVE EXAMS?

They think they can just mention £x amount of money and sidestep any actual pertinent questions.

Never in my life have I witnessed anything like this man. I don’t understand how he has a job full stop, let alone a ministerial position. How did this happen? Somebody, somewhere please, slap him round the face with a wet fish. I can’t take it any more. I have to turn off the tv now when I see him as it’s bad for my health.

Actually, I also do the same with Johnson. I just can’t cope. The man is beyond ridiculous.

Finally, why does MH wear the same suit and pink tie - EVERY DAY?

We have noone to blame but ourselves . The Tory party voted for Boris as leader because they believed he was appealing to a country that values shallow appeal and charisma over competence and seriousness. They were right .

I am no Tory but it in a democacy politicians reflect the society they represent . There is no getting.away from that. I actually think that we will see a rise in dictatorships all over the world post covid and I wouldn't exclude the UK from that risk.

The people will decide come the next GE and how this Government handle the cost of CV19 will be factored in.

Tax rises are coming unfortunately but the opposition can always do better until they are actually in power

Could the present Government have done better? Yes but easy to point score when you are not the one making the decisions 😳

Gavin Williamson is beyond belief. He really is.

All the ministers such as Shapps and Gove who had the grave misfortune to have interviews booked the weekend the Cummings debacle hit the headlines, have lost all credibility as a result. It was pitiful to watch them try to defend the indefensible.

I notice the slightly more astute ones (and I use the term very loosely) such as DR and PP kept their head DS well down that week. Not a peep from them.,

What a miserable lot you are. Always looking to blame someone when situations are tough. Why don't you stand for election, fight on multiple fronts in one of the most difficult periods this country has faced for over 70 years and then have the honesty to admit that you could have done no better.

What pathetic whinging.

There is nothing pathetic about exercising the right to speak freely and criticise the government responsible for Grenfell, for Brexit, for doctors and nurses dying from lack of PPE. There are a lot of things pathetic with a PM who has called Muslim women letterboxes, black people pikaninies, gay men bumboys and the people that still voted him in.

Hmm
Yeah, when the government is directly responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people, we should all STFU, shrug, and say 'it's just one of those things...' We should avert our eyes from the PPE disaster, the care homes scandal, the failure to learn from other countries and stop being 'miserable'.

I'm not gonna come in and bash Tories (even though I'm not a Tory and dont get why people still vote for them), but this government is objectively terrible.

It has been one big balls-up from the start.

I do get angry when I see how complacent the country is.
Our government fucks everyone over and the collective response is "Oh that's just the way things go".
We should want better. We should all want our country to be doing better. Not just to take whatever shit Bozo pulls out of his clown car.

@Khadernawazkhan It is not pathetic whinging as you put it.

It is standing up for every man woman and child in this country who have been monumentally damaged by the shit decisions of this shit government.

It is the cock ups, PPE for one, the lies about social care being protected the DC debacle and the utter tripe they came out with like blaming Apple for the track n trace app not working when they were told from the beginning it wouldn't.

These are just some of the examples I can think of. It is not my job to do better I am not in the government but it is my job to hold them to account when they are making sure we're all on our way to hell in a handcart

It’s not that I think Corbyn would have done any better. But that’s not the point.

I don’t know why whenever someone points out the obvious about this govt, studio people presume they must have voted Labour or be “left wing.”

No, it’s just recognising a bunch of hypocrites.

I didn’t vote Conservative this time because BJ is a disingenuous blatant liar and it’s as simple as that. But I certainly wasn’t tempted to vote Labour.

I’ve met DR a few times over the years and he’s nothing to write home about. I’m not a leftie, but if there’s anyone to drive me to Labour it’s this current bunch of dipsticks.

Gavin gets a job basically because hes got posh boy cheeks I think, and does that embarassing (even more embrassing because people fall for it) thing of using really contrived language or purchases (water cannon and spiders) to try and make people think 'ohhh hes a character isnt he'.

where do you even start with somebody who thinks 'its not a crime to go to good schools' is a really solid political point? 30% child poverty rates and this is what some forelock tuggers have to say?
