Am I the only person who doesn't know any trans people?

Non goady question.

I don't know any, work with any or come across any trans people. Now it could be that they've done such a good job of transitioning that I don't notice, but where are they?

Ok, perhaps the word strut was unnecessary.

Not long after I first encountered this person the climbing centre had unisex individual changing cubicles installed, so anyone who doesn’t want to use the communal changing facilities has another option.

I find it a bit presumptuous to read "teens are only jumping on a bandwagon".

Bullying is rife. Life ruining and traumatizing.
Teenage years are hard enough.
But yes they'll make it worse for themselves by jumping on a bandwagon (because let's face it.. coming out as trans during secondary school isn't going to get those school bullies to ease off is it?)

There's mtf person who working in my local supermarket, female name tag, lots of makeup to cover the 5 o'clock shadow. Seems nice enough.

One of my oldest acquaintances is a male who has decided 'they' are 'non-binary'. This appears to mostly involve wearing makeup to raves, skirts around their flat, and posting lots of selfies on Facebook so like minded individuals can comment with #fistbite and #fapfapfap.

Luckily they've un-friended me after I posted that sex is binary (note they dropped out of the genetics course we did together at uni, so maybe didn't get to that bit), so I don't have to witness their (what I'm pretty sure is) AGP anymore.
