I don’t normally but I have a coldsore so think I’ll wear one tomorrow, hopefully I won’t get any passive aggressive comments from other shoppers that have been reported here.

Holeywalls · 12/06/2020 22:06

No, here there’s definitely less people wearing them than not wearing.

Mary46 · 12/06/2020 22:06

Yes. I keep it in the car so I have it. Alot were wearing them today.

bengalcat · 12/06/2020 22:06

No but if others do that’s their business not mine .

Oysterbabe · 12/06/2020 22:07

No. I only go late at night though, there's barely anyone there and it's easy to distance.

lifestooshort123 · 12/06/2020 22:07

Yes, always. Saves on lippy.

Mawbags · 12/06/2020 22:07

I bought some disposable dust masks for sanding back in January. Been using them and leave them in the car.

Around here nobody’s bothered anymore I don’t think, I am generally one of two or three people wearing one!!

SecretSpAD · 12/06/2020 22:08

No. I can't wear them as I'm asthmatic and can't breathe properly. I had to wear them when I was a practising doctor and hated it then. Now older and asthma worse so no.

RenegadeMrs · 12/06/2020 22:08

Yes, but I'm in the minority. No one has ever said anything to me.

vanillandhoney · 12/06/2020 22:08

Nope. I don't own one either.

I've seen maybe two people wearing them all week.

Endless11 · 12/06/2020 22:09

Yes.

Freddiefox · 12/06/2020 22:09

I wore mine today in the shops because I have a cold sore and didn’t want people to see it. I never felt bad about cold sores until mumsnet

pilates · 12/06/2020 22:10

Yes

Mummyme87 · 12/06/2020 22:10

Yes I do. I work in a hospital so want to reduce me transmitting it as much as possible

Knobblybobbly · 12/06/2020 22:10

Yeah I wear one and so does my 5 yr old. We do it to protect other people more than anything. Nobody has tutted at us. I assume they feel a bit safer with one less person breathing all over them?

mistermagpie · 12/06/2020 22:12

I wore one on my last trip to the supermarket and I felt a bit silly because I was the only person wearing one! This was a big megastore type supermarket as well so lots of shoppers. I was quite surprised and I don't think I'll bother again to be honest.

Tootletum · 12/06/2020 22:12

No. I need to get one for stuff like the GP and trains.

Newkitchen123 · 12/06/2020 22:12

No

MarshaBradyo · 12/06/2020 22:12

Nobody would make a comment to someone wearing one in the supermarket I was in. The trend was towards wearing.

Ragwort · 12/06/2020 22:12

No, very few people wear then where I live. I work in retail & am reopening, we are provided with masks but it is not compulsory that we wear them.

letmethinkaboutitfornow · 12/06/2020 22:12

Nope

m00rfarm · 12/06/2020 22:13

I live in Portugal and we have to wear them inside shops etc. Otherwise we are not allowed in. You get used to it quite quickly. It’s not comfortable. The disposable ones are best. You can breathe more easily. The triple layer fabric ones are horrific.

ginsparkles · 12/06/2020 22:13

Yes

museumsandgalleries666 · 12/06/2020 22:14

Yes I always have one with me when out and wear it when I'm anywhere near anybody.

Who cares what anyone else thinks about it, if others don't want to take precautions, good luck to them, they might need the luck.

If anyone says anything negative about it , ignore them, why would you bother to respond? They don't care about you or themselves, why care about them?

Ameliablue · 12/06/2020 22:14

Yes, I wear one. I hate them, they are uncomfortable and I feel self conscious either way. It's probably about 50:50 in our area. I wear it to show respect for others. I don't believe it will prevent me catching anything and think I had Covid already ( daughter tested positive) do I think I'm unlikely to infect anyone with Covid but I understand that other people I may meet don't know that, so may be more comfortable passing someone with a face mask than without.

amber763 · 12/06/2020 22:14

I find it so odd that anyone doesn't want to. If you have asthma or another medical reason fair enough but the reason for wearing them is to protect others. So selfish not to care. Most people where I am have then on in shops.
