I don't really expect people to be much different so I imagine much of what we frown on before will be similarly frowned on later like misuse and maldistribution of resources, particularly food and other essentials.
why don't men wear make up NOW.
In Western Europe and many of their former colonies, because of various events in the late 18th through the 19th century, including upper class women copying what was then commonly men adornments (particularly heels and certain clothes) which then, as things go, went down the classes causing mixed responses, taxes being put on things like powdered wigs, and various revolts against the wealthy and decadence encouraged many men in power to take more plain, utilitarian appearances that still remains. Why it did not have a similar effect on women's clothing is still largely up for debate, but many of them probably didn't have room to profit from recommending and being seen in utilitarian clothing while still selling more expensive materials.
Do you think our great grandparents would scorn us?
The one I knew didn't seem particularly bothered by much we did, she was just happy that she had succeeding in getting out of her childhood circumstances and helping her own have a better life than she had. I think she would raise an eyebrow that her great-great grandson has an interest in farming (she didn't even like gardening), as she worked very hard to get out of it. I know of others who have older relatives who get on them about wasting the greater opportunities they have, but nothing I would call scorn - though probably some have kin who would.
I assume any direct descendants of mine interested enough in family history to look back will frown that the family tree is sparsely recorded and confusing - too many changed our names, immigration, and connections with some weird organizations that are just never really explained in what little is left. Maybe they'll be disappointed or really happy I left the US. On a societal level, I assume that any such history probably won't focus much on people of my social standing much as I wouldn't look at the ills of 100-200 years ago and focus on subsistence farmers. I don't think people will be very different, and what is different will likely be beyond my imagination.
