To think that Emma Watson is no feminist

So after JKR published her incredibly powerful essay and disclosed being a survivor of domestic abuse and sexual violence, Emma decides to tweet that trans women are women. Emma doesn’t condemn the misogynist abuse and threats of sexual violence that JKR has received, nor is she concerned about the facts JKR has shared of an over 4000% increase in girls being referred to gender clinics, or how autistic girls are disproportionately represented.

What is Emma’s “feminism” for exactly?

Quaagars
So how do you define what a man is ?

If my definition is patronising, what is yours ?

PheasantPlucker1 · 13/08/2020 16:43

Describing a woman as a human adult female isnt one posters definition, its the actual definition.

Vivi0 Why do I have to provide proof? It is widely reported. Does anyone else have to provide proof of being abused, or only trans people

I provided plenty of proof to the Police of the domestic violence that I suffered in a previous relationship. Do you want to know what they (males) said? "He's a respectable middle class professional, he will stop if we have a word with him"

Do,you know what they did? They visited him had that "word" had a laugh about my hysterical overreaction and fucked off.

Do you know what he did that night?

Broke three of my ribs and my wrist.

Didn't bother going to the Police again and got my wrist plastered by a friend in A&E.

It was another year before I had the confidence to leave him.

No, Emma Watson isn't some silly little girl with silly little opinions. She is a grown, experienced woman who really should know better and even if she has never experienced it, at least have the fucking empathy and intelligence to realise what some women so through and why we need protected spaces.

This!

I'm pretty sure the women she claims to help through her UN role haven't got the time for navel gazing shite about gender identity. I'm pretty sure they know exactly how to tell who are the men and who are the women.

Still waiting for that definition of 'man'.....

SecretSpAD - I am sorry, I certainly did not mean to say that she should not be held accountable for her views and comments. It was more that she seems to be spouting things that she has no knowledge or understanding of. Possibly when she is older and more experienced she will revise her views. I hope so.

I am glad you managed to leave.
