admittedly, ive only been a member for a few months, but i have come to this conclusion. take today for instance. the main topic of conversation on this section is; parents of 5 year olds worried about which senior school to go to? on that thread is the biggest bore & snob you will ever have the misfortune to meet. this popular thread is closely followed by mums worried about whats in their kids packed lunch? mums get a life! im off for a fag.

OP posts:
unknownrebelbang · 23/09/2007 13:46

Is it my imagination, or does the term bullying get thrown around a little bit too much, both on here and in RL?

SSSandy2 · 23/09/2007 13:46

geez this is a long fag. Is she never coming back from it?

lulumama · 23/09/2007 13:47

too bloody much unknownrebel

bullying is a very , very strong word

am parping now, going to do my ironing, ( how yawningly middle class ) because i don;t come here to be called a bully

3andnomore · 23/09/2007 13:47

lulu a BULLY......I never noticed that neither...
Lulu, what are we to do with you ...I mean, you getting threads removed due to being just to...sickly...and now you are going about bullying innocent little posters...

I think you need to be spanked

TheWiltedRose · 23/09/2007 13:48

yes but daisy my point is that exactly!

Why can one OP bring on such a mob when its just one perons point of veiw but theres only a few ppl that actually say something helpfull like ok fair enough well you can do this to make it better...

The rest all jump on a bandwagon and start tryiong to pick holes in the OP and make the poster out to be horrible

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/09/2007 13:48

Lulu, a bully ...a less likely bully you'll ever hope to meet.

she is one of the nicest women on here.....just ask anyone on the ante-natal/childbirth boards

SSSandy2 · 23/09/2007 13:48

ooh can we not ALL get spanked?!

unknownrebelbang · 23/09/2007 13:48

For the record:

I am not middle-class.

I don't smoke, never have done, but have other vices.

No comment on being a bore - will leave to others to decide.

lol.

mytwopenceworth · 23/09/2007 13:49

Lulu beat me up round the back of the tearoom last week...AND she flicked me with a spitball!

Mercy · 23/09/2007 13:49

Just what we needed on a boring Sunday afternoon

3andnomore · 23/09/2007 13:49

needs must SSandy I suppose I could extend teh spanking further

TheWiltedRose · 23/09/2007 13:49

Lulu i apolagise prehaps bully was the wrong word to use i just couldnt think of another as im still half asleep

Sorry for hurting your feelings

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/09/2007 13:51

errrm , i think that's what the OP was aiming at.

I'm pretty sure the op didn't think she would illicit a host of. posts agreeung with her.

she is having a go at the users of the site = horrible IMO.

RustyBear · 23/09/2007 13:51

"Sometimes i wonder why you join this site if not to start fights and make yourselves look better because you dont have any vices like everyone else!"

This is aimed at lulumama???????????????

I can only assume you have spent the last year or so away from MN if you don't know what lulu does here and how much help she gives people.

She is probably the least likely person ever to bully or start a fight on Mumsnet.

sugarmatches · 23/09/2007 13:51

Looks like another hit and run.
She probably wont be back until she feels the need to vent again, then the thread will start all over again.

Like I have said before "why are some people such stirrers??"
At least have the bu**ks to stick around for the fallout GEESH!!

3andnomore · 23/09/2007 13:51

[pondering emoticon]....hm, am I still alloweed int eh middleclass ranks...dispite being ratehr flea bitten right now...possibly not a middleclass thing....can only happen to the loiks of me

hohum, such short brush with the middleclass..

mytwopenceworth · 23/09/2007 13:51

Can I have 'twos', Daisy??

RustyBear · 23/09/2007 13:51

Sorry x-post _ I see you have apologised.

talulasmum · 23/09/2007 13:52

actually, i was looking for something on google and was kind of "sent here". and anyway if this subject keeps "popping up" then it must be bloody well true. you all seem to be so wrapped up in the mundane things in life; of course i feed my kids healthy food, but im not worried if they eat a bowl of cocoa pops now and again. and worry about senior school at 5.? come on....

OP posts:
southutsire · 23/09/2007 13:52

I started a thread for middle-class people to be boring about house prices (though some working-class people were allowed in if they were suitably respectful) and we bored ourselves rigid with that for a while and then got so bored we all stopped posting. I didn't think that could be beaten, but to start a boring thread about being bored of boring people... that is just genius. [overawed]

Flamesparrow · 23/09/2007 13:52

Lulu's no bully

The OP does imply that her smoking means that she is not a middle class bore.

Speaking for myself, I am working class, no idea if I bore people or not (well, I do w/r nappies, but never mind), I don't smoke and I do care about which senior school my DD goes to (4 yo), and what is in her lunchbox/being fed to her at school.

I also care about Peter, breastfeeding support, cloth nappy advice, disposable nappy advice, sleep help, food issues, SN, scrabble, FLYlady, spirituality and 10,000 other things posted on MN.

TheWiltedRose · 23/09/2007 13:52

No rusty that was not aimed at lulu at all it was aimed at the people that respond to an OP nastily and say horrible things to the poster

theUrbanDryad · 23/09/2007 13:53

Well, well, ladies. Has it all kicked orf on here yet? I see that Lulu is still up to her wicked ways. Y'know, that gel, she was really bullying me when i was really upset that my contractions weren't starting, and she totally bullied me when she talked to me at stupid o'clock about bouncing on a birthing ball and nipple tweaking. She's such a common gel, y'know? All that tea shop malarky.

Must go, the horses need re-shoeing and the groom's off sick with the nanny. Just can't get the staff these days, can you?

Toodle pip.

beansprout · 23/09/2007 13:53

I aspire to be a middle class bore. The money would be nice for starters!!

SSSandy2 · 23/09/2007 13:53

Good for you TWRose , Lulu is not one of the bad guys.

Just wish she hadn't mentioned that darn "ironing" word. Grrrr
