Weird title I know. Apologies.
But myself and OH were just discussing my legs. Or more specifically my foot.
I was stretching my leg/foot out (as one does) and he jumped in horror saying 'Ew, that's disgusting?' After much questioning it transpires that I can bend my foot down enough with an outstretched leg so that it's just one straight line (hard to explain).
He tried it and his ankles won't go halfway near to a straight line with his leg.
Is it men? Is it me (dancer all my youth) or can everybody but him do it and I'm not a freak?

I can do it.

Rainbowchampagne · 02/06/2020 20:15

Yes, but I was also a dancer 🤷‍♀️

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 02/06/2020 20:16

I can, and I most certainly was not a dancer. I do have very flexible joints though.

Truthpact · 02/06/2020 20:16

I can do that and I'm not a dancer. Think he's just inflexible. Grin

aLilNonnyMouse · 02/06/2020 20:16

I can do it and I have fairly bad mobility in general and restricted movement in several joints. I was a ballet dancer as a child for a couple of years though.

Blastandbollocks · 02/06/2020 20:16

Yes, also did ballet for a short time when young (2-3 years). DH can't.

Ninkanink · 02/06/2020 20:16

Yes I can do that.

BigBairyHollocks · 02/06/2020 20:16

I can do it, and I’m no dancer!

EdwardsNewJumper · 02/06/2020 20:16

I can do it . Not a dancer.

GatoFofo · 02/06/2020 20:17

I can do it too. He’s the odd one Grin

MeglaFlop · 02/06/2020 20:17

I'm sat trying this... I can't do it. My foot will literally brake off before that is ever straight 😂

YahBasic · 02/06/2020 20:18

Both DH and I can do it. I struggle in my left foot because of an injury.

JoesExotic · 02/06/2020 20:18

I can too. Not a dancer. But then my knees bend backwards too.

GimmeAy · 02/06/2020 20:19

Haha - see I knew it! He's the bloody freak!

gamerchick · 02/06/2020 20:19

I can, but I'm hyper mobile.

I wonder if females are more bendy than males in general. I may ask husband just for an experiment. Grin

GreyishDays · 02/06/2020 20:19

No way!

SuperMedium · 02/06/2020 20:19

I can and am most definitely not a dancer.

The "normal range" with most things is quite wide, there's rarely one normal, but you are certainly within the normal range of that's as far as it goes.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 02/06/2020 20:19

I can do it, I did tap dancing when I was young but I roller skate not, dunno if that helps though!

Elliemayclampett · 02/06/2020 20:19

Yes. But I have a high instep. Sadly, I will never be a ballerina 😂

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 02/06/2020 20:19

I can do it, however after a short while I get a cramp in the arch of my foot 🤦‍♀️

GreyishDays · 02/06/2020 20:20

Actually, do you mean pointing your toe straight down, in line with your leg?

Lovelydovey · 02/06/2020 20:20

I can and not a dancer. Indeed I bend enough at the ankle to go beyond straight!

FlamingoAndJohn · 02/06/2020 20:21

Very much so, but I was a gymnast.
Dh can’t but i believe it’s a thing that men find difficult.

FlaskMaster · 02/06/2020 20:21

I can. Maybe it's a man/woman thing. Have you seen the one with the chair? It's supposedly if you bend forward at the waist until your head touches the wall and your back is flat, women can stand up from this position and pick a chair up from in front of them, men supposedly can't. There's loads of videos of it online and it's very divided by sex. Although dh can do it.
