WIBU to wear no underwear with a long dress?

Not the perv troll (check my posting history, I've been around for years).

I want to go out for a walk today. I've had some skin issues down there and whilst I've been at home, wearing no underwear and loose pyjamas obviously hasn't been a problem. But it's nice and I have a day off work and I want to get out.

If I wear a long (patterned) dress, that should be ok shouldn't it? It's not particularly breezy. I have no intention of becoming the Hampstead Heath flasher. I'm just not sure it's acceptable in public...

Go for it! I only wear undies if I really have to.

ArriettyJones · 27/05/2020 10:44

Assuming you’re really not the perv troll....

That’s exactly the kind of decision that sparks off a “Sod’s law” chain of events that ends with you locked out and up a ladder while a crowd of neighbours look on.

I wouldn’t.

2Kidsinatrenchcoat · 27/05/2020 10:46

I’d wear them just while you’re out of the house, just in case

SquidwardTennisballs · 27/05/2020 10:46

Well unless you decide to suddenly start walking everywhere on your hands I don’t see how people will know whether you’ve got underwear on or not. I would, commando is the most comfortable way!

blubberball · 27/05/2020 10:48

You might need weighted skirts like the royals wear. Grin

Lockheart · 27/05/2020 10:48

Well I wouldn't be locked out (I have housemates who are WFH today), but now you have me worried!

Unfortunately all my loose cotton underwear is currently in the washing machine so it's either stay at home, wear something polyester and unsuitable and probably irritating, or go commando.

Just hope theres no leakage!

ArriettyJones · 27/05/2020 10:51

That’s not a creepy thing to say at all @Macncheeseballs Hmm

BeingonFBdoesntmakeittrue · 27/05/2020 10:51

Not saying you're a troll but this must be the 5th post in a few days about whether or not its okay to not wear knickers due to some kind of sore vulva problem.

What the hell are people getting up to? Smile Obviously the poster that rubbed a handful of salt on her fanny wasn't such a mystery..

bigchris · 27/05/2020 10:52

Dont stand in direct sunlight in case its see through Grin

Wow missed that one Shock

Was she mystified?

ginandbearit · 27/05/2020 10:54

Dont forget to put cellotape across your buttocks to prevent em grabbing the dress!😄

Lockheart · 27/05/2020 10:54

@BeingonFBdoesntmakeittrue I haven't seen those I'm afraid. Although I did read something about it becoming more common as we're all in lockdown and sitting more, so perhaps they're not all trolls.

And no, no salt for the love of god!!

Quite. What happens if you get hit by a bus?! Shock
Lockheart · 27/05/2020 10:55

I think I'm either going to have to forego my walk or risk some different underwear.

Lockheart · 27/05/2020 10:56

@ItsAllGoingToBeFine if I've been hit by a bus then my underwear (or lack of) is the least of my worries!

She thought she had thrush so shoved a handful of salt in her pants (as you do) and couldn't believe how much her fanny was burning afterwards 😂

Apolloanddaphne · 27/05/2020 11:02

My DM's very prudish friend used to wear her skirts and no knickers when she had some issues down below (I cannot recall what the problem was). She even went to church al fresco. She never came a cropper. Just go for it.

Lollypop701 · 27/05/2020 11:02

I’d go commando, if for the most stupid of reasons someone saw your bits, it’s not the end of the world! Half the population have one etc. I can’t imagine a scenario in which it would happen tbh but I suppose you never know😂

Lockheart · 27/05/2020 11:06

I have found some old biker shorts that I haven't worn in ages.. they may be my saving grace!

OP posts:
Dragonembroidery · 27/05/2020 11:07

Strange knicker posts.
I suppose it's the French way!

Better for quick rendezvous 😉

Growingboys · 27/05/2020 11:07

I went commando in a short dress yesterday and it was lovely. I know some MNetters don't get the idea of 'airing' their vag, but I am a fan.

Rather resenting my shorts today tbh.

Gin4thewin · 27/05/2020 11:08

I dont wear pants with longer dresses, since lock down, ive barely worn any at all!

FlamedToACrisp · 27/05/2020 11:09

Risk it, but take your knickers in your handbag!

Also, bear in mind whether you're due for a period...

Happymum12345 · 27/05/2020 11:11

If you get hit by a bus, it would save the drs & nurses cutting off you pants-believe me, this happens!
