To fancy Dominic Cummings

Don’t flame me (go on then) He came across rather well. Not defensive. I’m quite liberal and loathe Tories, but I thought he stayed on point and didn’t do anything that most of us would not have done.

Michael Gove is rumoured to have an enormous penis.

Cummings looks a bit like Dobby the House Elf, except evil.

GingerBeverage · 26/05/2020 02:03

He looks like Mr Garrison from Southpark.

ViciousJackdaw · 26/05/2020 02:10

Michael Gove is rumoured to have an enormous penis

No, that's just Chinese whispers. He's actually a massive bell end.

MeninSuits · 26/05/2020 02:18

Michael Gove is taller than Boris Johnson.

CovidicusRex · 26/05/2020 02:21

I really think people on here have no idea what the word liberal actually means. YABVU. I don’t judge him at all for going to Durham, I see nothing wrong with it, but even ignoring that he’s not a nice man.

PotholeParadise · 26/05/2020 02:25

Michael Gove looks very cuddly like a teddy bear, which isn't quite my thing. I could get past that, but unfortunately I can't ever forget his education policies or the time he suggested that all schools could be above average.

So hard pass on Michael Gove.

MeninSuits · 26/05/2020 02:26

I can't ever forget his education policies

His policies or were they the ideas of Dominic Cummings?

SuckingDieselFella · 26/05/2020 02:27

@PotholeParadise
I know lots of parents with children who have additional needs and they would all prefer to have a relative come to them to provide care, so the child could stay in familiar surroundings.

Giving care is a legitimate reason to leave home. Obviously family members couldn't go and stay with them in this case because the parents were infected. They went to stay in a property on his family's farm, not an air b&b.

PotholeParadise · 26/05/2020 02:28

No, that's a lie. I don't think I could ever get past the cuddly expression. It just doesn't work.

Cuddly face, terrible policies. Can't concentrate or the face to the exclusion of the personality or vice versa.

SuckingDieselFella · 26/05/2020 02:30

@MeninSuits
"He went to whoever he thought would care for his child the best.

Do you know him personally and if you do why not share your communication with him on this matter? If not you cant possibly know it to be true."

I see your point, that was poor reasoning on my part. Obviously he went to whoever he thought would care for his child the WORST.

Namesgonenow · 26/05/2020 02:30

He looks like a cross between Golum and a slimy variety of lizard. If looks matter to you.

ChocolatelyAsFuck · 26/05/2020 02:30

Actually forget what I said about Dobby (poor Dobby RIP).

Cummings looks exactly like the Yellow Bastard from Sin City.

DioneTheDiabolist · 26/05/2020 02:44

I'd give him a go OP.BlushGrinBlush So YANBU.

PotholeParadise · 26/05/2020 02:44

Giving care is a legitimate reason to leave home.

That was my point. It's in the statute. Actually, didn't I have a lot of rows with you over things I thought it was acceptable for presumed healthy people to leave the house for, and you didn't?

I don't think we're each other's types of people... Grin

Obviously family members couldn't go and stay with them in this case because the parents were infected.

So Dom didn't plan for his nieces to swoop in to the house at any point, because the parents were infectious? Seems a bit pointless for him to have travelled up there then.

They went to stay in a property on his family's farm, not an air b&b. Er yes. I think we all know that. Again, there are a lot of people in very very hard situations who would have loved to know that they could preemptively goand stay in a property near family just in case they became seriously ill, instead of only summoning family members down if it absolutely couldn't be avoided.

His policies or were they the ideas of Dominic Cummings?

I can't put all the blame for everything on Dominic! Michael Gove has to carry the can for the decisions he put the ministerial seal to. He's not that cuddly looking.

Alltheprettyseahorses · 26/05/2020 02:48

How come every time a loathsome male political figure is on the skids there's a thread about someone inexplicably fancying them? There was a particularly dodgy one about Corbyn iirc and there have been others. Anyway, YABU, especially about him coming across well and as for staying on point, it's normally easy to do that when you're reading from a script but even that was far beyond Cummings' ability. It's like you didn't even watch the broadcast.

PotholeParadise · 26/05/2020 02:52

Alltheprettyseahorses

The pattern won me 100g of dark chocolate from someone who wasn't in the know, so shush. They're reading the thread and I want them to think it a one-off and make another bet with me in the future.

Oh fu--...

Alltheprettyseahorses · 26/05/2020 03:01

PotholeParadise Grin I was thinking it was some bizarre female socialisation thing involving feeling sorry for someone but if there's enough of a pattern to win good chocolate ...

I don't think I'll get back to sleep now though knowing someone actually fancies Brexit Pob!

Leicester5 · 26/05/2020 03:08

I wish whoever it was hadn't mentioned Gove's penis. It gave me a bit of a shock as I've never thought about him having one before.

Don't fancy DC.

nobodysdaughter · 26/05/2020 03:10

"AIBU to fancy Dominic Cummings?" - oh for goodness sake!

I think it's something that happens whenever your eyes have been forced to look at one particular male face for too long. There were MNers who found themselves reluctantly reconsidering Justin Fletcher after his successful takeover of all output on CBeebies. There is a crucial tipping point somewhere. After a certain number of hours of TV viewing, something in the back of your head must be triggered to speculate whether he genuinely is the proverbial Last Man on Earth and weighing up if you're going to be that desperate if he is.

LellyMcKelly · 26/05/2020 04:18

I would rather guide my father into my mother than let that spunktoad anywhere near me.

LellyMcKelly · 26/05/2020 04:21

Michael Gove is an enormous penis, and so is his mad wife, Lady Macbeth.

Bibijayne · 26/05/2020 05:31

Hi Mary

Fluffybutter · 26/05/2020 07:36

Gross , he comes across as a jumped up prick and looks like a bellend

Sassysusan92 · 26/05/2020 07:36

I think you're entitled to find whoever you like attractive. He's no Rishi though.
