To fancy Dominic Cummings

Don’t flame me (go on then) He came across rather well. Not defensive. I’m quite liberal and loathe Tories, but I thought he stayed on point and didn’t do anything that most of us would not have done.

Well done, OP, apart from the usual are you glue, I think you've got off remarkably well with this thread.

TheSheepofWallSt · 26/05/2020 01:01

Dominic Cummings is the sort of toxic fucker I WOULD have shagged back when shagging men who were patent bastards “just to try it” was one of my major hobbies.

In that period I also shagged a hot but rather dodgy copper, an arrogant arsehole academic (Prof of English Lit) who stole some stuff I said over dinner about a controversial authors work, and tweeted it verbatim as though it was his (professorial) opinion, a “conceptual artist” who made sculptures out of old plastic tat and made me cry (also over dinner) with a character assassination he claimed was “for my own good” and an actor who excused himself whilst we were having a very chill second date at my flat, drinking wine on the balcony and chatting, to do coke in my bathroom.

Had we met in that period, and he not been married to MW, Dominic would probably have got it tbh. Sadly. For me.

AdalindMeisner · 26/05/2020 01:03

You really need to raise your standards and possibly your self esteem! He is a nasty, cold, manipulative arsewipe, who cares about nobody not even his child ( what kind, loving parent would effectively trap their 4 year old in a confined space with a possibly fatal virus for 4 hours?)

MeninSuits · 26/05/2020 01:05

Give the man some credit. He does care abut himself.

Toilenstripes · 26/05/2020 01:05

BakedCam

I did my best. 😂 I do love MN and hope there are no hurt feelings. Now, I’m off to sniff some glue. Xx

I've been waiting for someone to post this thread.

Thank you OP, for winning my bet that someone would post this. You've won me a chocolate bar. (We play for high stakes these days.)

Leflic · 26/05/2020 01:07

I quite fancy Priti Patel. Or jealous of her unlined face...hard to say.

Gove is the antithesis of attractive. Literally nothing. Devoid of any quirk that might yield a bit of frisson.

wildcherries · 26/05/2020 01:08

Raab has hair at least. Cummings looks like Gollum.

This is scarily accurate and made me laugh. I'm clearly too tired to be on here [grin|

wildcherries · 26/05/2020 01:10

But on a serious note, I agree with AdalindMeisner

SuckingDieselFella · 26/05/2020 01:11

@CoachBombay
" I'd take Hancock, I'd tie that man to a bed and whip that coy school boy out of him 😂😂"

I am beginning to worry about you.

But that's nothing compared to how worried Hancock will be if he's on mumsnet.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 26/05/2020 01:13

All hail the one attractive member of the government! Or, not hail exactly, from a policy perspective she's a bloody nightmare, but yes, she's rather attractive, especially when standing next to any other member of the government.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 26/05/2020 01:14

Is that you, Dominic.

MonaLisaDoesntSmile · 26/05/2020 01:14

I think you need an eye test OP, I can recommend driving to Barnard Castle, they do good ones!

begoniapot · 26/05/2020 01:20

I agree. I would have done the same. My child is far more important to me than what the left wing press and media would go to town on. He didn't break the rules. He protected his family. He didn't put anyone at risk and wasn't prepared to see his child in foster care. He risk assessed his family circumstances and did what he thought best.

I don't fancy him though.

Hugely different from someone off for their weekend jollies with family members. His kid was in hospital ffs. It's just the usual witch hunt.

😁 No, just me, going for an eye test tomorrow? 😂

I agree with all of that but I could never fancy him.

PotholeParadise · 26/05/2020 01:31

Yep, Patel is the only attractive member of the cabinet, aesthetically. Which is surprising really, given Johnson was supposed to be selecting the Cabinet.

MeninSuits · 26/05/2020 01:33

and wasn't prepared to see his child in foster care.

He had local family (brother of his wife) and multiple friends and long term colleagues. The child was not going into foster care.

Lynda07 · 26/05/2020 01:35

I didn't watch his interview but I am hoping his name will fade from the media. The amount of hate generated is out of all proportion.

If you fancy him, go for it! Not my type.

PotholeParadise · 26/05/2020 01:42

I'm not sure how you're entering that as a defence. That situation is exactly why we were all ordered to stay at home.

Over the last few weeks, it has been gone over again, and again that we must not travel to other locations, to protect the NHS.

Firstly, because if we are unknowingly incubating coronavirus and end up needing hospital treatment for complications of coronavirus, we could introduce the virus to a completely new location and set of people where it will spread just like viruses do.

Secondly, because if we are unknowingly incubating coronavirus and end up needing hospital treatment for complications of something completely different, we could introduce the virus to a completely new location and set of people where it will spread just like viruses do.

This is the exact situation raised as a reason why it was irresponsible of Cummings to travel.to Durham, and in the last 24 hours, it turns out that it actually came to pass!

Would you be happy with what he did if your son or daughter worked in that hospital? Or was a patient in that hospital at the time?

SuckingDieselFella · 26/05/2020 01:48

His child allegedly has additional needs. If that's the case, preaching isn't appropriate.

He went to whoever he thought would care for his child the best.

MeninSuits · 26/05/2020 01:51

He went to whoever he thought would care for his child the best.

Do you know him personally and if you do why not share your communication with him on this matter? If not you cant possibly know it to be true.

PotholeParadise · 26/05/2020 01:56

Yes, one person tweeted that, and then deleted it.

To that, I ask, if at the highest levels of this government they had personal appreciation of how hard this situation was on parents with children with additional needs, why did they not, at any point in the last months, make it clear that this leeway was available?

Up and down the country parents whose children's autism is not "alleged" but 100% genuine, have struggled on, alone. Why was it never clarified that parents could preemptively settle themselves while ill at an air BnB near to a trusted relative?

It all sounds like complete bollocks anyway. I know lots of parents with children who have additional needs and they would all prefer to have a relative come to them to provide care, so the child could stay in familiar surroundings. I'm sure Cummings could organise a chauffeur for his nieces if that was the issue.

agonyauntie2020 · 26/05/2020 01:57

OP says "And before the elder statesmen of MN come for me, yes I do get that there are different levels of abomination."

So she's praising Cummings and calling some of us men? Are you after a dressing down on mumsnet OP?

This reminds me of the thread a masochist started on AMA where one of the elder statesmums replied quick as anything
"if you were a real masochist you'd have posted in AIBU"

LoveIslandVirgin · 26/05/2020 01:57

The wriggly arrogant wee fucker couldn’t sit still throughout his well rehearsed bollocks. And why was he allowed to sit?

Keeping everyone waiting 30 minutes and the knock on effect of programme rescheduling was enough to sack him.

Fancy him? I think I fancy Michael Gove more 😂 😂 😂 🤮
