How long before I'm allowed to worry??

Ds 15 went out to meet some friends at 2pm (I KNOW!)

He's not back and his phones dead. He's not usually out this long. He's not sleeping at the moment and he has no money on him to get food/drink.

How long can I leave it before I really worry??

Yes I know he shouldn't be out, I've had that argument plenty of times with him.

So happy for you!

Jaichangecentfoisdenom · 25/05/2020 21:04

Thank God.

Love51 · 25/05/2020 21:04

I hope he's ok. Assuming he is, give him shit. When you allow him out again, he says where, who with, what time he'll be home, and if this changes he calls you. If he can't call you, he comes home.
I had a reputation for having very relaxed parents at 15, because they knew I was down the pub. I was safer than my mates who went clubbing and home with strange blokes / slept rough coz they had told their parents they were at each others houses.

underneaththeash · 25/05/2020 21:05

Do you have a facebook page/what's ap group for your local area.
We managed to track down a stray teen a few weeks ago!

Hope he's home soon.

caramac04 · 25/05/2020 21:07

I’m glad he’s home. He was selfish but at least he’s ok and that’s got to be a relief.

justhereforthetips · 25/05/2020 21:07

Aw I'm glad he's home. Don't be too hard on him Thanks it's probably young love 😂
Just tell him he has to have a full battery before he goes out and reply to any texts from you.

FOJN · 25/05/2020 21:07

Pleased to hear he's home.

EnoughAlready2020 · 25/05/2020 21:08

So glad for you. Hopefully he'll get a good sleep tonight too. Don't be too hard on him - it sounds like he's finding things tough atm x

He's pissed with me because I messaged his friends. Well bloody tough!

He went somewhere with other friends (yes a girl too) that was 3 miles away, he's got awful sunburn. He hasn't eaten or drank anything.

He's knackered now, will be having words in the morning.

Twospaniels · 25/05/2020 21:12

Glad to hear he’s home. Such a worry.

Haffdonga · 25/05/2020 21:13

It was a gorgeous sunny day. There were friends. There was a girl. He came home.

He sounds a pretty normal teen. Go easy and sort the phone charging before he's allowed out again.

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 25/05/2020 21:13

So pleased he's home OP!

Madre77 · 25/05/2020 21:14

So pleased he is safe. I have being checking this thread periodically to await that message from you. Be super grateful now and let him recover, as soon has he has let him have it ha xxx

justhereforthetips · 25/05/2020 21:16

Get him to drink a pint of water before bed or a rehydration sachet or he'll feel like crap tomorrow

Merigoround · 25/05/2020 21:16

Phew . Im glad hes back safe and sound having had what sounds like a great day with his friends.
Once hes fed let him go and sleep off the day.
You will need a long soak and a glass or two of something nice . Tomorrow is the time for discussions.

twostripycats · 25/05/2020 21:19

So glad he is home OP!

Tinyhumansurvivalist · 25/05/2020 21:20

ItsNow · 25/05/2020 21:22

So pleased he is home, must be such a relief

crispysausagerolls · 25/05/2020 21:26

Thank Christ!

maresydoats · 25/05/2020 21:27

Glad he's back, just a normal teenage thing esp in this weather etc.

Just make sure you have contact numbers for his mates. That's really all, I don't think you need to be too heavy on him. We all did it in our day. But a tiny word about keeping his side of the bargain might be ok.

I often wonder how our parents coped in the pre mobile days when we went walkabout during half term/Summer hols at 15!

vegas888 · 25/05/2020 21:32

So glad he’s home, I know when they are out sometimes your mind works overtime. Glad you can breathe a sigh of relief. X

Xenia · 25/05/2020 21:35

I'm glad he got back safely

Ellmau · 25/05/2020 21:42

Good news.

The sunburn serves him right for worrying you.
