How long before I'm allowed to worry??

butterflyroses · 25/05/2020 18:54

Ds 15 went out to meet some friends at 2pm (I KNOW!)

He's not back and his phones dead. He's not usually out this long. He's not sleeping at the moment and he has no money on him to get food/drink.

How long can I leave it before I really worry??

Yes I know he shouldn't be out, I've had that argument plenty of times with him.

Is there anything you can find out via social media?

I wouldn't wait until 9pm to ring the police> I hope you get good news Flowers

DonLewis · 25/05/2020 20:38

Ach, just call the police now. Hope he turns up with no drama. And soon.

happyjack12 · 25/05/2020 20:39

has he got facebook or instagram?
find my phone app?
send messages to his friends on social media if you can.
hope he is back soon, safe and sound x

Igotta · 25/05/2020 20:39

I'm sure he'll be home before dark, if not I would call the police.

OhioOhioOhio · 25/05/2020 20:40

Yes. I'd be phoning the police.

Fcukthisshit · 25/05/2020 20:40

Hope he turns up soon op x

Healthyandhappy · 25/05/2020 20:43

Hope hes ok

justhereforthetips · 25/05/2020 20:43

Op I hope he's back soon. I used to do stuff like this as a teen, lose track of time, not understand the fuss - now I realise how worried my parents must have been.

SquirtleSquad · 25/05/2020 20:45

What a worry Thanks

Apolloanddaphne · 25/05/2020 20:45

You could call the police non emergency line to ask advice?

twostripycats · 25/05/2020 20:45

Definitely call the non-emergency number now because it means that police out and about in your local area will be able to look out for someone matching his description and I think that him knowing you were worried enough to call the police might just have him keeping in touch next time.

Hope all is ok.

macaroniandpizza · 25/05/2020 20:47

Hope hes back soon

purpleboy · 25/05/2020 20:48

I'd call the police too, as police said they will then have someone on the lookout for him.
Hope he comes home soon.

purpleboy · 25/05/2020 20:48

Previous poster not police 🤦🏽‍♀️

WelcomeToTheNorth · 25/05/2020 20:50

My money is on with a girl, lost track of time

Flowers for you OP, I’m dreading these days xx

LilyFromTheValley · 25/05/2020 20:51

Does he have an iphone? So you could do the 'find my' thing?

Ohnopoo · 25/05/2020 20:52

I think I’d take the pandemic and phone situation out of the equation and ask yourself if you’d still be worried.
It’s not that long really for a teenager who is catching up with his mates/a girl.

Florrieboo · 25/05/2020 20:55

It is such a worry, I hope he strolls in very soon oblivious to all the worry he caused.

justanotherneighinparadise · 25/05/2020 20:57

Oh gosh I’m dreading my kids getting old enough to do the same. Everything crossed he’ll be back any minute xx

Wagsandclaws · 25/05/2020 21:00

Oh OP it's such a worry isn't it? I'm sure he's fallen asleep somewhere especially if he hasn't had much today.

Be sure when he gets home to let him know how worried you've been, I do feel for you but I am sure he is fine.

ElectricTonight · 25/05/2020 21:01

Really hope he's ok Thanks

Lovemusic33 · 25/05/2020 21:02

Hope he turns up soon, hopefully he’s just lost track of time whilst having a good time.

Lotsalotsagiggles · 25/05/2020 21:02

Can phone companies track where last signal was? Hopefully he's home before ten

butterflyroses · 25/05/2020 21:03

He's home

Apparently he told me 9 at latest.

We'll be having a nice long chat tonight.

Thanks everyone
