They’re just too much. Their big eyes, little noses, fat bellies ... the way they wobble when they walk and jump around and pounce on things like they’re a million times bigger than they are ... I just can’t be doing with it. Everytime I see a puppy I just want to squash it. My girl is 1 year old today and I’ve been looking at her puppy photos and videos ... she was totally unreasonable to bounce around the garden acting app ridiculously cute at 8 weeks old. Puppies are just too much!

Yes they are too cute I say that as someone who is cradling her 6 month old sleeping puppy right now and his older sister is sitting on my lap

Just say NO to puppies.

Snoozy puppies, with their little sleepy snuffles are the best! These two now snore like hippos, but are still just as lovely!

If anyone has any of those horrible Border Collie puppies, I'll take them off your hands as an act of mercy.

Alas not - I love them from afar (and sometimes get a big snuffly cuddle if the owner lets me). Always wanted one, but it never happened. I have an elderly terrier (Plummer x Patterdale) and she's a bloody handful at the best of times. Partially wrecked the house when she was little (furniture, carpets & TV remote all chewed), sleeps in the bed (not on, in), perpetually sheds ginger fluff and is a dominating little madam. I call her my little furry dictator.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

This little monster burst into my life 4 years ago - is definitely not the breed my daughter thought she was buying, is too smart for her own good (and my sanity), and thinks that she's actually in charge of me rather than the other way around, especially since our older dog passed away quite suddenly last Halloween (she nags me even more, now - and is particularly good at flicking her eyes, eyebrows and tail around to indicate what she wants, and how disdainful of us humans she actually is at times).

(I do quietly mourn those lost days of her puppyhood... but agree: their little flumpfy faces and pot bellies - always furless, too! - ought to be banned!)
