Refund refused: right or not?

So this lot arrived from TK Maxx, splintered. I ask for my money back, pointing out that the other stuff in the order was fine.

TK lose the original email with all the pix, I resend the pic I've got left, see below.

Ask timidly again - TK say 'we need more evidence', want pictures 'to show damage' 'for our auditors'.

YABU = how dare you suggest these plates are faulty you greedy cow
YANBU = at 90p each, please refund this Mumsnetter.

Am I the only one that can see it is broken plates in packaging?

OP, why don’t you have the original email in your sent items folder?

This feels like the dress being blue or white, I can't see smashed plates in the pic at all.

Maybe don't take photos during a nuclear blast.

Because if she sent them via email then surely it's possible to resend them. It seems strange that the OP no longer has any way to resend the pictures, and is left with only the worst photo.

It’s a rubbish photo, without being told it’s broken plates, I wouldn’t have been able to figure out what I was looking at.

I know @GrimmsFairytales, but nobody has asked her this obvious question!

I emailed them the day the plates arrived, and the pic is dated an hour after I signed for the parcel.

So? You can’t tell what’s in the awful photo you took so of course they want more evidence.

Have you thrown the plates away?

I’m not missing that point at all. I doubt that the op had trotted up to Boots with the film to be processed. The op should still have the picture because either she hasn’t deleted them or that they are in her sent folder.
They have lost the email but that doesn’t make the photos vanish.

I’m confused as to what you want from us OP? Even the vote makes no sense. Resend the original email or take fresh pics.

Why aren’t the pictures in your sent email

Was it a contact form or something you used? Otherwise the original photos should be in your sent email folder, unless you manually deleted them from there.

And yes it's a terrible pic!

I don’t understand any of this. Why not just re-send the email you sent them from your sent folder with the (presumably better) pictures?

Alternatively, why not just take a much better picture of the broken plates again? Or have you thrown them out? If so, why have you thrown them out before confirmation of a refund?

It's not a great picture but I can clearly see a smashed Denby plate in it.

Two people on the first page of this thread mentioned that the email should be in the sent items.

And that assuming that it was TK Maxx that lost the email. I mentioned that it could be in drafts if it hadn't sent.

Lots of people have asked the obvious question, because it's obvious. OP has decided not to answer it.

I suspect this will be one of those threads where the OP will keep missing the point.

No more pix to be had - I binned the ones I had when I cleared out my phone and I've got better things to hoard than a box of broken plates.

I complained within the hour, too.

So you took one really unclear photo and then binned the plates and photos before getting a reply/refund?
