People have had the right to use the bathroom for the gender they identify as for ten years. It’s treated as a new thing by anti-trans activists because they see it as a useful rallying point, but it is not a novel situation.

Organisations also have the right to refuse trans people access to facilities like loos / changing rooms / refuges / shelters / pools etc. if they think it’s justified. So a man ‘donning a pink shirt and calling himself a woman’ for the purpose of accessing a shelter with nefarious intentions isn’t going to be granted that opportunity.

Trans people have endured a great deal of suffering (and I acknowledge they have hugely suffered and experienced untold abuse).......so therefore we need to quickly carve out whole swathes of rights that mean other group's rights are superceded and disappear as a result.

I just can't agree with that at all. I'm sorry. While I don't want trans people to risk violence or abuse in male toilets, there has to be a better solution than making women vulnerable.

couldnt care less. I've been sexually assaulted by a woman and a friend was assaulted by a man in a womens toilet, so segregation makes no difference to the actual weirdos who want to assault you.

I very much object to my DD and her friends being in an enclosed space alone with a biological male on the next cubicle. That's not transphobia it's simply risk assessment.

So they're not changing sex then.....nor are they female with a penis. I have absolutely no issue with same-sex relationships, its rather puerile to try and compare being gay to being transgender.
