I am so confused now. What message is he giving? We're in Lockdown and he's having a costa. I had a close look at the picture and it doesn't look like one of those fill them up at home cups. I'm moving planets.

Are you a troll op?

nanny2012nanny · 09/05/2020 21:05

It was a reusable coffee cup stop reading the daily mail

Mikki2019 · 09/05/2020 21:06

Omg verryyyyy amusing

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 09/05/2020 21:06

If I was out for my exercise and saw an ice cream van I'd flatten anyone who got in my way! Never mind coffee, chocolate or cake ice cream is my favourite! I now what a Mr Whippy with a flake!

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 09/05/2020 21:10

Also, Boris has already had Covid, so isn't at risk of catching or spreading the virus...

Do tell us more about your virological research, Professor. When will you publish?

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 09/05/2020 21:10

Costa are allowed to open.....they have opened a few drive thru

Not seeing the problem 🤷🏻‍♀️

Butteredtoast55 · 09/05/2020 21:10

sonjadog Call me crazy but I've never once got changed to have a walk round outside at lunchtime

DuesToTheDirt · 09/05/2020 21:15

•In 6 weeks I managed to only go shopping once because I decided not putting lives at risk was worth learning to live without bread and switching to herbal tea, black coffee or almond or oat milk.*

I haven't been shopping at all, I'm living off the produce of my garden. The moss has a funny texture but tastes OK, and I love the crunch you get from pyracantha prunings. When I want some protein I round up the slugs and eat those.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 09/05/2020 21:16

@DuesToTheDirt I tried that but forgot the grass was artificial. It wasn't half chewy!

majesticallyawkward · 09/05/2020 21:17

There are 2 extremes on here at the moment! Either buying a Costa coffee should be punishable by death V we should all be back at work & school by 9.00Am Monday morning after Boris speaks to the Nation tomorrow night!

Or the sensible view of having a costa is not a crime and can be done while maintaining social distance.

yellowbrickwhorl · 09/05/2020 21:20

Facepalm.

Scarletoharaseyebrows · 09/05/2020 21:22

Come on though, dues that's doing two permissible things at once. Hope you wore suitable sack cloth. Mended with old knicker elastic. Gawd, some people. Smile

Toomuchspinach · 09/05/2020 21:22

There's nothing essential about a Costa

I’m fucking done! No one is ever going to top that. 😂😂😂

This thread needs to go in MN classics

ThisHereMamaBear · 09/05/2020 21:23

@JellyfishandShells I said I think it's wrong he had a Costa. I'm unpleasant? Yet here you are calling me 'deranged.' Very pleasant.

Ooooh do you were that person who was putting six weeks worth of food in your trolly’

Tut tut!

ThisHereMamaBear · 09/05/2020 21:25

@LilacTree1 i'm not sure how this is trolling. I have an opinion, you all disagree and have thrown in a good few personal insults too. I thought aibu was a platform to ask questions like this?

OP posts:
SleepingStandingUp · 09/05/2020 21:26

@ThisHereMamaBear I'd love to see your shopping list. I'd get a takeout Costa but the cups are at the til you you kinda have to go round in circles and it's one way.

Makeuptherules · 09/05/2020 21:27

Get a life. You actually zoomed, lol!!!!!

KingJarvis · 09/05/2020 21:27

OP in disbelief at Boriscosta gate

Boris and a costa?
ThisHereMamaBear · 09/05/2020 21:32

@ChardonnaysPetDragon it impacts my life when people interpret the pm going for a jolly walk with a coffee in hand as a sign of let's not worry anymore. Like I said, would he have done this on day 1 of lockdown?

OP posts:
TeacupDrama · 09/05/2020 21:35

this should be in classics because of the excruciating stupidity of some posters
Man seen walking without breaking any law whatsoever, crowd gather baying for blood he should be lynched because of an imaginary law just made up on the spot by OP
Boris has many faults this was not one of them

Drivingdownthe101 · 09/05/2020 21:35

Who has interpreted it as that?
If he’d done it on day 1 of lockdown I would have felt exactly the same, as takeaway coffees and walks have been permitted since day 1.

Kortnee · 09/05/2020 21:35

when people interpret the pm going for a jolly walk with a coffee in hand as a sign of let's not worry anymore

I think this would be classed as Darwinism

Scarletoharaseyebrows · 09/05/2020 21:36

But any of us are allowed, in fact encouraged, to go for a jolly walk. With a flippant coffee or not!
