To be English and think Nicols Sturgeon would be a better PM

Just that really, I live in England but would quite happily vote for NS to be PM if given the choice over BJ. To me she seems much more trustworthy and has shown better leadership.

Just to provide a bit of balance on this thread, I like her. In fact, I can't think of anyone I know who doesn't. I trust her. I believe she acts in the interests of the Scottish people.

I totally agree with this.

But I also agree that amoeba in the pond would do a bit job than the crowd in at westminster. My husband uses a lovely expression "they piss on you and tell you it is raining". Boris Johnson in a nutshell.

She was asked a difficult question on today's lunchtime briefing, rather than gloss over it with flannel which is what most politicians do she admitted she couldn't answer it but would find out the answer & come back to it once she was fully informed. Nice but of honesty

Fuck no 😂 Scotland can keep her!

I think you'll find we'll be doing that anyway

Strongly agree with you OP. I prefer to have her as a PM not BJ.

Really? I'd say more people I know dislike her than like her.

She doesn't actually hold a seat though does she?? I can't find any confirmation, maybe Glasgow city, but it was abolished?? She was voted into the leadership role by the SNP without any other candidates. Seems odd to me. Can anyone Scottish explain whether she has actually been voted in by a public vote??

Yes I like her too. She's not "only got a single item agenda", the only people who keep mentioning independence are her opposition. I rather suspect she's a federalist anyway, not a fully independent. But either way, I think she's trustworthy and as someone up thread mentioned, not scared to say "I don't know, I'll find out"

I've said before that if the SNP ran in England, I'd seriously consider voting for them. But that says more about the sorry state of English politics in recent years than it does about the SNP.

That would be a big no from me. I'm Scottish, living in Scotland, with two children in the wreckage that is the Scottish education system.

We're keeping her, sorry. She has handled this really well, bar a few blips. But she's someone you can listen to and trust.
I'm glad she's FM right now. I trust her more than the shower n westminster.

Yes I always think that, she always seems very sensible like a proper grown up politician.

I feel embarrassed to have Boris as our PM and representative on the world stage. I did use to find him funny back when he'd appear on HIGNFY, but he's not anyone we should take seriously. Unfortunately we have done.

Newsflash.... If you're English, you're lower on Nicola Sturgeon's priority list than practically anything else. She doesn't give two hoots about you.

Suggest you look up the definition of "parochial" in the dictionary.
