To think Nicola Sturgeon is deluded

... if she thinks that people who want to exercise twice a day aren’t already exercising twice a day.

And that if Boris eases lockdown restrictions on Sunday that the whole of Scotland is going to accept being trapped at home for another three weeks?

And that the shops and takeaways and other businesses that are already opening up are going to suddenly revert back to a strict lockdown?

And that the “economy can recover”?

Really?

This is a crazy agenda.

Wonder if she has seen Alex recently?

Seeing as her history with Alex is dodgy and his trial was dodgy I'm concerned that so many women on Mumsnet support her.

Nb89 · 08/05/2020 18:11

I thinknits ironic that the people who have bent the lockdown rules are now moaning the continuation if lockdown and not happy about theblock of benefit to them, any relaxation in rules.
I'm in Wales, people.have not stuck to lockdown as they should have complaining the relaxation half no benefit and why another 3 weeks.

Ooh the irony!

Not without another person in the room as a chaperone.

SundayReilly · 08/05/2020 18:20

Exactly HeresMe
My point.

ChangeThePassword · 08/05/2020 22:04

So we should condemn her because she worked closely with someone that had serious allegations made against him?

Jesus, I worked closely with a guy who got done for having images of sexual abuse of children. Does that make me bad at my job too? Or guilt by association?

Hmm

I'm not sold on independence, I've voted SNP in the past but not in the last two general elections. However, I do trust Nicola Sturgeon a lot more than Boris or anyone in his cabinet.

What I like that she's done is being open about the science that's guiding decisions - they've released it all. She was clear from the start schools would remain closed until at least August and given an idea of what we can expect when restrictions start to be lifted.

Aesopfable · 08/05/2020 22:54

Change whether you are guilty of anything working with a paedophile depends on whether you were responsible for dealing with reports of his behaviour, what you did with those reports, whether you kept good records of them and your relationship with him after the allegations came to light. Of course, if you were in a public leadership role then that would be even more important.

GladAllOver · 09/05/2020 10:33

Paedophiles are often cunning bastards. I would not blame anyone for unknowingly working beside one.

Aesopfable · 09/05/2020 11:02

Yes but it is you behaviour when you find out, especially if you have any investigatory responsibilities, that can be judged. Nicola is not being judged for working unknowingly beside Alex (sex pest but not paedophile) but for what she did when it came to light.

maddy68 · 09/05/2020 11:05

I am in England but only following her advice. I trust her. Don't trust bojo

neveradullmoment99 · 09/05/2020 21:01

Wonder if she has seen Alex recently?

FFS, that was a ploy to destroy and discredit him. People are so bloody gullible. She has actually kept her distance. Ridiculous comment.

neveradullmoment99 · 09/05/2020 21:02

She has kept her distance in order to maintain the integrity of her position.

Gre8scott · 09/05/2020 21:12

I'm inScotland I've never been a nicola fan but I will be listening to her and following her advice
