Have you lost weight or gained weight?

There's been various posts about it, and it feels like 50/50 but I could be wrong. That's why I'm posting in AIBU so we can have a poll. Personally I've lost weight.

Vote YANBU if you've lost weight.
Vote YABU if you've gained weight.

If your weight has stayed the same - sorry but the poll can only have two possible answers Grin

I've lost half a stone because all the restaurants and cafes are closed, and I can't buy snacks on my way home from work because I'm already home. We've been cooking healthier meals.

Other people have been saying the opposite, that they've been sitting at home eating crisps.

I can't vote on the app but I've put on a couple of pounds. I'm less active than usual even though I'm doing more formal exercise. I'm also doing baking to keep my daughter amused.

I weighed myself Monday and had put on 2lb so trying to stop eating crisps etc and exercise a bit more now! Miss the gym as I can normally not worry as I go 3-4 times.

I have but on about half a stone!!
Lots of home cooking and baking
Lot of laying on the sofa reading books and watching box sets
Feeling very rested and sleeping a good 8 hours a night
Have been walking and bike riding but obviously not enough

I've lost 10lb. It started because I can't snack as much with toddler DD around (she'd want more snacks too!) and because we've been making a conscious effort to exercise, but once I realised the weight was coming off, it spurred me into eating more healthily too.

I was just thinking today on a video call how round my face is getting. I’ve gone from walking 90 minutes a day plus a workout and eating low carb to zero exercise and eating everything Blush

DP and I are planning to do a challenge in May of running 100km throughout the month (just under 4Km per day) plus 100 squats and sit ups every morning to kick us back into an exercise regime

Gained weight, but am probably fitter, as have been running daily, and have improved my running times. Clothes still fit okay, so not too concerned. Enjoying the baking!

I’ve put weight on. I’m actually a nurse so still working 12.5 hour shifts. But on my days off, I feel like I need something “nice”. And that usually means something more calorific than I would normally eat.

My days off are also spent in the house, and snacking takes over. I’ve always been someone who’s had to work hard not to gain weight. I’m feeling quite disgusting at the moment TBH.

Unbelievably I have lost weight. I really need too . I'm eating plenty ,snacking less,and walking miles a day, so I can have a break from my teens . Probably lost 10pounds,also spurred on my the fact that obese people do less well if they get covid .

Lost around 3-4lbs, I think purely from making the effort to do a walk everyday for some fresh air, where previously I'd have struggled on weekdays due to work. We also restarted our HelloFresh subscription since lockdown after struggling to get decent fresh ingredients from local shops and wanting to avoid taking online supermarket delivery slots as we're not vulnerable. We've eaten much more consciously as a result of having to select the individual recipes and it's been nice to have a bit more variety too Smile

Stayed the same. Have eaten a little more at lunch than normally would as often skip it at work but have had time to up the exercise so it’s balanced out.

I feel fatter -drinking a lot more wine Blush
I track my calories so I am actually having more calories but the scales say I have lost weight.
Stress obviously burns a lot of calories.

I’ve gained because I was a terrible snacker until last week. I just couldn’t stop myself like some robot programmed to stuff face at every opportunity. Last week something switched on in me and I’ve just stopped. I’m eating 3 home
Cooked meals a day and only snacking once or twice but having fruit or raw veg instead of crisps.
I’m doing a 30 min low impact work out every night too. I don’t know what happened but it did. For the first time in 20 years of being a fat bastard something switched on in my brain and I’m actually changing my shitty food habits.
I’ve lost 2lbs so far which seems tiny but if I carry on that’ll be 8lb by the end of the month! I don’t know what’s happening to me or why but I’m so glad because I was at the end of my tether about my weight! I just hope I don’t wobble, had a bad day today mentally but I’ve stuck to it so I’m hoping I can keep going.
Sorry for the ramble just needed to get that all out 🤣

Lost 20lb but most of it due to viral pneumonia and the loss of taste and smell which affected my appetite. I think it's mostly muscles though as I can't exercise yet.

Lost a few lb from worry/stress about our jobs at the start of lockdown and was doing low carb, then couldn't get much of my keto staples when people were buying everything up. Then since Easter thought 'fuck it' and ate loads of chocolate and biscuits. Don't dare check the scales now!
