Have you lost weight or gained weight?

There's been various posts about it, and it feels like 50/50 but I could be wrong. That's why I'm posting in AIBU so we can have a poll. Personally I've lost weight.

Vote YANBU if you've lost weight.
Vote YABU if you've gained weight.

If your weight has stayed the same - sorry but the poll can only have two possible answers Grin

I've lost half a stone because all the restaurants and cafes are closed, and I can't buy snacks on my way home from work because I'm already home. We've been cooking healthier meals.

Other people have been saying the opposite, that they've been sitting at home eating crisps.

Gained, can’t find the motivation to lose weight even though I really need to. Tried every “diet” going but my will power is diabolical

Gained a bit at the start as I was treating every day like it was my last, eating and drinking everything in sight! Reined it in now and lost 6lbs so far. 3 square meals, no snacks, limited booze, some sort of exercise every day.

Lost 5lbs so far. Have not had the opportunity to eat as many snacks and I've never gone up and down stairs so much! At work I use the lift!

Gained. Was just starting to lose some post pregnancy weight and getting out walking everyday, now this has made me eat more and hit the wine slightly harder. Just trying to cheer ourselves up. Isolating with furloughed husband, my mum and nan. It’s getting a bit much now.

Lost a stone!! Anxiety stops me being hungry! Lowest since I had hg 16 years ago! Youngest dd lost half a stone now she is now fainting due to low sugar and blood pressure due to anxiety! Can't access mh team as little provision in our area before this! Dh going nuts trying to make us eat! 😔

I was losing and am not eating any more than I was before, but lack of exercise means I am staying roughly the same. Sad

Lost about four pounds, I think mainly because I’m drinking less wine.

I planned to use lockdown for losing weight, but thats just not happened. -i say glugging down a hot chocolate- Tomorrow is another new day. I will try harder

Gained. Been ill and doing far less exercise, and now can't find anything that replaces swimming. DH and I are doing shifts round each other so exhausted and snacking lots. We were just discussing this this morning, not sure how to change things so we get time for ourselves. The only good thing is we've been taking long walks with the DC at the weekend, we live close to a major river so have been walking the closest sections which has been great.

I lost 6lbs out on 7lbs, do I am feeling crap. I walk about 6 miles every morning & do 16:8 so I need to stop snacking. I eat lots of sugar when I feel anxious.

Initially I lost weight due to worry, but now I am happy to be stuck in the house safe away from germs (and not cycling 40 mins a day), so am gaining. I don't mind :)

Gained. I’m surrounded by snacks all day so indulging more, and DD has become obsessed with baking. I can’t eat salads much as we only shop once a week, so not so much fresh stuff. Am exercising quite a lot and doing 5:2 (though sometime going over a bit on fasting days) in an effort to try to minimise the gain, but I think I’ll definitely come out of this a couple of kilos heavier.

I think I'm about the same weight wise, I can go a couple of pounds up or down without realising. But I'm definitely more squishy and have lost muscle tone.

Yes, and Pret too, and even juices and smoothies. Plenty of vitamins but at the end of the day they're still calories.

Gained in the first couple of weeks. Eating biscuits through stress and boredom and homeschooling drove me to drink. When everything was too tight I started insisting on Joe Wicks every morning and counting calories, and I'm starting to rein it back in.

Gained about 7lb I haven't checked my jeans don't fit. I have zero motivation I'm eating crap and living in joggers. I plan to get my shit in order soon.

I've gained a few pounds. Because I don't need to drive anywhere I can drink wine wherever I like. And crisps go so well with wine.

I need to get a grip so I don't need to buy new clothes Blush

Gained about 4lb. Started my calorie counting again a few days ago to knock it in the head. Still running a similar amount to before but even just not doing the school run (10 miles walking a week) and no general walking around is having an impact. Diet/alcohol hasn't changed much.

Started making sure I do Joe Wicks every day now as well as a run when I can fit it in/persuade my children to come with me!

Lost. Always been slim but now I'm 'shielding' and not going out, haven't got much appetite at all. Strange,that.Haven't got scales but I can see I'm thinner. Don't like it.

Gained about 5 lb. put my normal jeans on today and it wasn’t pretty.

Finding availability of snack food difficult to resist.
