There's been various posts about it, and it feels like 50/50 but I could be wrong. That's why I'm posting in AIBU so we can have a poll. Personally I've lost weight.

Vote YANBU if you've lost weight.
Vote YABU if you've gained weight.

If your weight has stayed the same - sorry but the poll can only have two possible answers Grin

I've lost half a stone because all the restaurants and cafes are closed, and I can't buy snacks on my way home from work because I'm already home. We've been cooking healthier meals.

Other people have been saying the opposite, that they've been sitting at home eating crisps.

OP posts:

I had been staying stable but have gained a few pounds recently. I've done so much walking with Ds2 that my thighs have really bulked up!

Doingtheboxerbeat · 30/04/2020 01:05

I had to tell my gorgeous BFF to stop baking for me. He is a chef and he would bake cakes for him and his partner and on their walks, would bring a cake and place it on my bike handle, in my ground floor balcony and send a text with "you have a cake delivery" Grin. Adorable.

MummBraTheEverLeaking · 30/04/2020 01:12

First few weeks did bugger all exercise so felt like I was gaining a little but didn't weigh myself. Now I'm hitting 10,000 steps every day and doing a fitness dvd every other day as well as trying to low carb as much as possible. If I can come out of this maintaining that would be fine. I'm 5"2 and 9 and a half stone, I'd feel better at 8 and a half which I did get down to last year but it crept on after I stopped breastfeeding.

skybluee · 30/04/2020 03:18

Lost weight which I really did not want to do. I can't get my normal foods and often keep running out, so don't have my normal meals and hungry a lot of the time. It made me realise how often I was going to Tesco Express and how often I was buying food out. I hate being hungry like this but I daren't go to shops as often as I used to.

RefuseTheLies · 30/04/2020 03:24

Lost. But it’s 3am and I’ve come downstairs to eat a magnum and some crisps because I have PMS.

sam221 · 30/04/2020 03:50

I have stopped eating healthily, after years of strict control(used to be really fat). I am only eating things that please me, I figure I'd rather die eating cake than not.
I watched the film Wolf on Wallstreet years ago, anyway there was a bit in the film where they are on a boat and thought they would sink-so the lead says to his sidekick to grab the drugs-because he doesn't want die without being high!!! I know it stupid, but it kinda made sense to me, so know I don't deprive myself!

sam221 · 30/04/2020 03:52

*sorry should clarify, for me the 'drugs' would be cake/chocolate (never taken any kind of drugs!)

ilovesooty · 30/04/2020 04:23

Lost a bit I think. No meals out of course and I don't feel very hungry. I haven't touched alcohol since just after Christmas anyway and I seldom drink at home.

44PumpLane · 30/04/2020 06:02

Small loss.

4 weeks into lockdown I weighed myself and had put on 4lb, realised the way I was going I'd be the size of a baby elephant when we got out of lockdown so started slimming world a week and a half ago, so currently a tiny but lighter than when we went into lockdown but I'm hoping I will continue to eat properly and will come out of lockdown having achieved some weight loss.

Runkatierun · 30/04/2020 06:06

Stay the same, I'm getting lots of exercise but dd and I are baking most days and I'm making some lovely meals

Roselilly36 · 30/04/2020 06:33

Lost half a stone, just due to stress & cutting out all snacks during the day. I had got into a habit of having crisps with a lunchtime sandwich, picking at biscuits during the day. Had to stop.

frumpety · 30/04/2020 06:58

Just climbed on the scales for the first time since Lockdown, have actually lost about 4 lbs . So under 20 stone now. Yay ! Blush

Karmatime · 30/04/2020 06:58

I’ve gained a bit, not sure how much as I don’t own scales but jeans are tighter. I’m going for a daily run but that’s it, rest of the time am sitting at my desk or on the sofa or in bed or staring into the fridge thinking what can I eat next.

Northernsoullover · 30/04/2020 07:12

I've lost about 5lb. You don't have to eat healthily to lose weight. I'm still eating cake and crap. I'm just skipping lunch and my meal portions are smaller than usual due to stress.

inwood · 30/04/2020 07:34

Same but flabbier. I was really good for the first couple of weeks exercising at home but motivations has panned.

I am however not eating chicken bacon and avo baguettes for lunch and have lost the boozy Friday work lunches that go on until late and drinks / restaurants / cafes so it's balancing itself out somehow.

KeepWashingThoseHands · 30/04/2020 07:50

Maybe not 19lbs but I'd say the clue is in the name Grin

CrazyAllAroundMe · 30/04/2020 09:33

Gained 6 lbs and a lot flabbier as I'm not cleaning the same (I'm not washing windows and scrubbing floors etc just antibac cleaning handles and switches obsessively, washing incoming food and running a hoover and mop over daily)/dogs not being walked as often by me as all taking turns to get out/no gym/everyone is home so I eat 3 times a day and different food when I usually just have controlled protein based snacks then a main meal. My clothes are very tight and I've a rounder face, bigger bottom and flabby arms so the increase looks more. I can feel myself dropping into a very low mood which isn't good right now so I'm going to come off here, wake the children and get busy I think x stay safe & sane if possible ladies and gents that's the main priority heavier or lighter Flowers

Siameasy · 30/04/2020 09:37

Stayed the same as I’m quite strict about it. I don’t buy tempting things so they just aren’t there. Plus I’m still going to work so that helps with the boredom factor.

lubeybooby · 30/04/2020 09:39

Lost weight but then I am actively trying to (and need to) Accurate calorie control, weighing everything, minimum 15 mins a day on the elliptical.

I fell victim to the pandemic snackfest in March but managed to stay the same weight, then all through April I've got a grip of myself and lost 6lb

riotlady · 30/04/2020 09:41

Gained 6lbs. More baking and less exercise

Herts6789 · 30/04/2020 09:50

losing weight but think it might be muscle rather than fat as im not able to train how i did before. So actually i'm sad about it!!

MulticolourMophead · 30/04/2020 10:04

Losing weight, deliberately. More exercise, calorie controlled diet.

battlestargalactica · 30/04/2020 10:05

no

thecatneuterer · 30/04/2020 10:07

Lost. Only a little bit. A combination of stress and having had the 'rona.

PhoneLock · 30/04/2020 10:07

Maintaining, but it is taking effort.
