If you have a cough, as innocuous as you might think it is! Why are you out? Just walked on my daily walk for about half an hour. 3 people walking past in safe distance all coughing 🤨 what the hell is wrong with people 😞

I have an all year cough I'm asthmatic people stare ATT.

That's a hell of a lot of the population that has to stay inside just because they have a cough that they've had for years.

Sometimes people just cough! It is a normal involuntary physiological process to clear particles in the airway. The difference with Covid is it is a persistent cough! Calm down!

Oh do fuck off. I have Bronchiectasis. I cough a lot. I also need exercise to keep my lungs healthy.

Congestive heart failure in our family causes a hell of a cough, my dad had a persistent (and I mean several fits an hour) for 7 years until they finally agreed to change up his meds.

A bloke on the opposite pavement to me this morning coughed massively and spat in the gutter. (not envy)

So if people have an existing or residual cough does it mean they are immune to covid-19???
No it doesn’t !
But it does mean that if you’re a carrier with no severe symptoms then your coughing all over (because you already have a cough) is likely to spread it more than someone who isn’t coughing.

The advice is that you must stay at home if you have a new or persistent cough.

But people cough for lots of different reasons that are not CV. My asthmatic brother coughs a lot. Always has. Should he stay in the house for the foreseeable just in case some random gets jittery? I think not.

I have hayfever and allergies and cough when post nasal drip runs down the back of my throat.

I was in the metro a month or so ago. I started getting a tingling cough. I tried so hard not to cough knowing that people would be looking at me that when I could not keep it in anymore and I did cough I spat all over the place. Sometimes one has to cough.
