Husband Watching porn during day

OK so I just want to know if I'm over reacting here....
I walked into the loo yesterday whilst my DH was masturbating to porn. Now I don't have an issue with porn, but I have an issue with doing that at 1pm with our kids up and running around. There's a time and a place and feel like he could of refrained from doing that until later...
Am I being an utter dick or am I justified?

Yanbu. Definitely time and place.

hesgotit · 21/04/2020 11:54

Dear god! Did not even think to pick the door? Envy

Zombiemum1946 · 21/04/2020 11:55

Tell him to at least lock the door.

Wonkydonkey44 · 21/04/2020 11:55

I agree , not the time or the place and bathroom door not locked?

Ernieshere · 21/04/2020 11:56

YABU to think you are over reacting.

aupresdemonarbre · 21/04/2020 11:59

It really depends on what he is like throughout the day tbh. If he is generally engaged and hanging out with them, I personally wouldn’t be bothered by 5 or 10 mins in the loo - I have a bit of a read (not porn!) on the loo myself in similar circumstances. However yes, he should be locking the door.

ineedsun · 21/04/2020 12:01

Yeah, it's the door thing, not the porn thing that would be the issue for me.

Bananacloud · 21/04/2020 12:02

Ew

MegaClutterSlut · 21/04/2020 12:04

Gross yanbu

percentageshelp · 21/04/2020 12:05

Definitely a time and a place, he didn't even lock the door!! How would he have explained it if one of the children had walked in.

artistformerlyknownas · 21/04/2020 12:21

You should have an expectation of privacy in the bathroom though. If you knock before going in (and teach your children to do the same) then there is no problem.

Lockheart · 21/04/2020 12:22

He should have locked the door.

As long as he's not hiding in there to avoid looking after his children then what he does in the bathroom is his own business.

Shoxfordian · 21/04/2020 12:24

Yanbu
He should definitely have locked the door
Gross

Spied · 21/04/2020 12:25

Urgh

Ladybop · 21/04/2020 12:30

The door was not locked or even fully closed hence why I just walked in thinking it was empty. If it was shut I will always ask if the loo is free.

Yuck. He's the one being an utter dick. Was he that desperate he couldn't wait until later? And to not even lock the door. Disgusting.

heartsonacake · 21/04/2020 12:35

I think the only issue here is that he didn’t lock the door. Just tell him to lock the door when he does that.

Lockheart · 21/04/2020 12:35

Masturbation isn't gross or shameful.

But it IS private and he absolutely should have locked the door.

Boireannachlaidir · 21/04/2020 12:42

Why are so many women conditioned into saying they don't have an issue with porn.

Him not locking the door or not waiting till a more respectful hour of the day is the least of your worries.

lastqueenofscotland · 21/04/2020 12:43

Him not closing the door properly with kids about it’s utterly foul

KonTikki · 21/04/2020 12:45

Possibly because they genuinely don't have an issue with porn.
I don't.

Sexnotgender · 21/04/2020 12:48

Gross, can’t believe he didn’t even shut the door properly.

heartsonacake · 21/04/2020 12:49

Why are so many women conditioned into saying they don't have an issue with porn.

Boireannachlaidir I don’t have an issue with porn. Quite the opposite actually; I love it. DH hardly ever uses porn but I use it on a regular basis.

Thehop · 21/04/2020 12:49

He should lock the door.

Meruem · 21/04/2020 12:50

Masturbation is normal but is it normal to want to do it when the kids are up and about??? Even if he had locked the door I'd still find it inappropriate when a child may knock on the door at any minute needing the loo!
