Isn’t there a princess in Europe that’s now working as a HCA?

A queen somewhere in Asia cooking for the poor?

Harry and Meghan delivering meals?

Bet if Diana was here she’d be out doing everything in her power to help the ordinary folk 💪

OP posts:
furryfritter · 18/04/2020 00:38

Is that you Megxit?

Leaannb · 18/04/2020 00:50

@clpsmum in LA that could take all day

bluebell34567 · 18/04/2020 00:51

MM and PH's help looks like attention seeking. they have hats and etc. but still they know they will be recognized, also they gave their names, too.

SuckingDieselFella · 18/04/2020 00:53

Of course it's attention seeking.

Who was photographing them? And how did they know that Megan and Harry would be delivering to a massive total of SIX houses?

bluebell34567 · 18/04/2020 01:06

they say it is security cameras but who thinks to search for them on the recordings and give out.
yeah, massive total of 6 houses.

Pippinsqueak · 18/04/2020 01:07

Seriously OP what do you expect them to do? They're following the rules, they're not key workers, he's a future King! You don't see Charles or Camilla or even the Queen doing anything and why should they?

Can you imagine if William went out, did "his bit" and then brought C-9 home and wiped out his family all for being seen to do their bit? What a ridiculous notion you have and I think you're a little too invested. Point your anger in another direction.

Rob Rinder was right. Those celebrities (including Harry and Megan) using this as a PR look at me and what I'm doing is disgusting. How do you know William and Kate haven't donated money or resources on the quiet?

At least they are trying to do their bit to get people talking. No doubt mental heath is going to be a major issue during this, and long after and they are ambassadors in this field.

Go to sleep, thank you for the work you do for hr NHS like many of us on here do.

returnofthecat · 18/04/2020 01:10

I was under the impression that Kate and Wills were still working, but conducting engagements via video conferencing, which is what I would expect from them in the circumstances. They've also been open about their experiences homeschooling, which I think sends a helpful message of how all parents should be doing the same, and not letting their children skive off.

Gingerkittykat · 18/04/2020 01:11

I'm sure H and M actually delivered abut 20 meals and I bet the palaver they caused doing so did more harm than good.

Imagine Kate being an HCA with security trailing around after her, I'm sure hospitals wouldn't really welcome that right now.

Wills won't be able to get back in his air ambulance either, there was a problem a few years ago with his number of flying hours and having to rush more in at the last minute. He couldn't just rock back up and be allowed to fly after a gap of a few years.

What Wills and Kate have done is stage some very fake pics of them WFH and posted a video of the kids clapping, anything to keep their image looking good.

Pjsandbaileys · 18/04/2020 01:16

If they suddenly decided to join the great unwashed they would be accused of using up vital resources and putting the extra staff required for security/ childcare in harm's way. I'm no royalist but they are essentially doing what is required from them as non keyworkers staying at home.

shamalidacdak · 18/04/2020 01:18

This is the beginning of the end for them all. HandM catapulted their irrelevance and utter barefaced greed into the spotlight. After years of Brexit, austerity and now COVID, people are just fucked off with the lot of them.

SD1978 · 18/04/2020 01:23

Go out, and risk catching and spreading COVID-19. Stay in, as not key workers, and do the right thing. Can't see why that's not the same as every other person staying at home. They are not keyworkers and have no reason to be out.

ineedaholidaynow · 18/04/2020 01:24

How do you know they haven’t donated money to help?

MorganKitten · 18/04/2020 01:29

Promoting mental health charities and calling key workers.

Didyoumeanme · 18/04/2020 01:29

I’m so confused by this thread.

It’s ok for Beatrice and Eugenie and the Countess of Wessex being photographed helping out as well as Kate and William but not ok for Harry and Meghan.

Yes, double standards don’t exist whatsoever Hmm here.

If you only heard about what they were doing and there wasn’t any physical proof, people would doubt it but being photographed means attention-seeking. Wow. That makes so much sense 🙄.

SirChing · 18/04/2020 01:37

I love it how some are so convinced they know everything about the Royals that they are angry with them for a) not donating (do we know that for sure?) and B) not transforming their palaces into hospitals (because infection control in dusty old buildings with inadequate electrics to power machines, and virus catcher rugs everywhere is SO much better for patients than a clean conference centre Hmm).

How does anyone know that one of the Cambridges doesn't have a health condition which makes them vulnerable? Loads of people do. Is it impossible that one of them does too?

Do People really think the government won't have told the Royal Family where they needed to go, in line with national pandemic guidelines?

I am in no way a royalist. But neither am I someone who notices that some of the Royals have been largely absent from the public eye, and decided that they know exactly why that is and whose fault it is, based on the square root of fuck all knowledge.

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 18/04/2020 01:37

only thing in favour of Royal Family is that they are not Trump.

WombOfOnesOwn · 18/04/2020 02:18

If we find out in a month or two that she's pregnant and has HG again, that would explain a lot.

Easilyanxious · 18/04/2020 03:52

Leaving this thread just to much nastiness and hatred at people can’t see the point
But vote speaks for itself so far

Crankycranium0 · 18/04/2020 03:55

To be honest, if they just stay at home and look after the kids, it's enough for me. Why should they be out?

GreenTeaMug · 18/04/2020 04:04

I'd quite like to be a princess.

(That's my contribution to the thread. Banal. But I speak the truth). Grin

GreenTeaMug · 18/04/2020 04:05

Anyway Duchess Kate looked beautiful. IMO

TheClootieDumplin · 18/04/2020 04:21

Together with all the nannies, cleaners, butlers, housemaids etc

I suspect there's very little evidence of their household staff on a day to day basis when they're at home with each other.

TheClootieDumplin · 18/04/2020 04:34

And then you get Kate, beautiful hair ( I’ve always wondered if she has extensions) makeup telling us homeschooling fun

People can still take the time to do their hair and put their make up on even during these very difficult times.

As for homeschooling being fun? She's probably enjoying it just as countless others are even though their home circumstances aren't as ideal as hers.

She looked glazed and very tired in one of the pictures yesterday, just like other mums at the end of a hard day.

custardbear · 18/04/2020 04:45

Harry and Meghan delivering food - publicity stunt ... shame on them trying to cash in on CV - do some good behind closed doors, typical celeb bollocks of how can I show, with the least possible effort, that I'm still here, look at me, look at ME ... now, where's my next Disney role?

ArriettyJones · 18/04/2020 04:49

Can you imagine if The Queen and Prince Charles both died in rapid succession and then William became seriously ill?

In that situation, we would be looking at the prospect of Prince George, who is KS1 age, becoming King and needing a regent.

Who would be the regent? Kate? Harry? Kate & Harry jointly? It would be the most unimaginable mess and a very unstable situation. I’m not a monarchist but we do live in a monarchy and we really don’t want a scenario like that.

Charles is over 70 and for much of the last month he was suffering from COVID. The Queen is 93 and huge efforts are being made to shield her.

The pressure we all feel to survive until our children are well into established adulthood must be felt a hundredfold by William and Kate. William has also said he was quite worried about his father while he was ill.

The whole of the Royal family are surrounded by courtiers who can also do this maths. They are very focussed on keeping the Queen and her heirs safe. I think they’d all be hanging on to William’s ankles if he even tried to leave the Sandringham estate ATM, quite frankly.
