Isn’t there a princess in Europe that’s now working as a HCA?

A queen somewhere in Asia cooking for the poor?

Harry and Meghan delivering meals?

Bet if Diana was here she’d be out doing everything in her power to help the ordinary folk 💪

@alsohuman

So why bring public sector workers into it, if not to compare?

Wolfgirrl · 23/04/2020 11:51

@LaMarschallin

I wouldn't worry. I knew the moment we dared to criticise the PR move of releasing the Louis photos the royalists would scream something about 'hating on a two year old'. They either wilfully misconstrued what you said or simply arent bright enough to understand it.

MangoFeverDream · 23/04/2020 11:53

Can't believe the vitriol on here aimed at a 2 year old toddler

Please copy and paste the offensive post. And no selective editing pls like you just did

I didn’t. @StoneofDestiny, who I quoted, did.

twirlycat77 · 23/04/2020 12:01

Nope, not seen any. Must be disappointing to royalists not to get that ammunition. So just make it up instead. Grin

Wolfgirrl · 23/04/2020 12:02

So if the royalists here are saying that we are hating on louis by thinking his photos, while cute, arent any more worthy of national news than any other 2 year old; then we can assume all other 2 year olds should have their birthday photos in the newspapers too? And if not, why are you hating on all the other 2 year olds?

LaMarschallin · 23/04/2020 12:11

Thanks Smile

I realised as soon as I posted that it was open to wilful misreading. Hence immediately explaining it.
Didn't see the selective quoting coming though!

Mamamia456 · 23/04/2020 12:14

Wolfgirrl - Try it and see.

BurneyFanny · 23/04/2020 12:15

Ironically, us anti-royalists are more concerned with the poor mite’s welfare than those who want to him to spend his life in the public eye.

Clavinova · 23/04/2020 12:15

Dumping his "career" less than two years later is the very definition of a massive pisstake.

It wasn't two years -

"In April 2008, William completed pilot training at Royal Air Force College Cranwell, then underwent helicopter flight training and became a full-time pilot with the RAF Search and Rescue Force in early 2009. His service with the British Armed Forces ended in September 2013."

"He then trained for a civil pilot's licence and spent over two years working as a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance."

Pelleas · 23/04/2020 12:20

No vitriol against Louis that I can see. He didn't release the photos and I doubt he's even old enough to understand what's going on.

It's his parents who are at fault. The arrogance of 'releasing' photographs like scattering crumbs for the peasants. Kate presenting herself as a photographer when her picture, while perfectly OK, are the same standard of family snapshot that anyone with a camera can produce.

The Cambridges are blind to the utter irrelevance of Louis's birthday in the climate of a global pandemic. Of course, take family pictures and celebrate within the family - but don't use your snapshots to grab press attention and distract from the fact the adults of your family are sitting on their backsides, on a pile of wealth and property, while ordinary citizens are dropping like flies outside your little aura of privilege.

Wolfgirrl · 23/04/2020 12:27

@Clavinova wow I wasnt aware 7 years of work out of 40 years of life qualified for a multi million pound pension and a palace. Silly me!

I've racked up more working years than that and I'm in my late 20s.

Wolfgirrl · 23/04/2020 12:28

I think when the royals put out photos like that, they feel it justifies them sitting around for another week or two because theyve 'done something'.

Mamamia456 · 23/04/2020 12:30

Repeat - The press ask for the photos as they do every year.

MarshaBradyo · 23/04/2020 12:31

It is a bread and circus crumb.

The whole prince etc thing is an anachronism.

Pelleas · 23/04/2020 12:33

Repeat - The press ask for the photos as they do every year.

So K&W reply 'No, thank you - in view of the global pandemic we are keeping our celebrations private this year'.

Mamamia456 · 23/04/2020 12:37

Wolfgirrl - What are you going on about. That was in response to someone saying Béatrice and Eugénie only got their jobs because of family connections. I was just emphasising the fact that any one can get a job through family whether that be a job at minimum wage or one at a higher level. Nothing to do with royal duties.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 23/04/2020 12:41

Think William's brother went for the privacy thing, look how that went.

Clavinova · 23/04/2020 12:41

I've racked up more working years than that and I'm in my late 20s.

Charitable fund raising is a legitimate occupation you know - William is likely to be raising billions of pounds well into his eighties - not everyone has to do minimum wage or manual work.

Pelleas · 23/04/2020 12:43

Think William's brother went for the privacy thing, look how that went.

But he didn't - he's kept on making announcements about this and that, changing the name of his 'brand' and so forth. If he'd shut up for five minutes the press would forget about him.

Alsohuman · 23/04/2020 12:49

Ironically, us anti-royalists are more concerned with the poor mite’s welfare than those who want to him to spend his life in the public eye

Oh do make up your bloody minds. One minute he’s the privileged tax funded spawn of spongers, now he’s a “poor mite” and you’re concerned for his welfare? Absolutely bloody pathetic.

Wolfgirrl · 23/04/2020 12:53

@Clavinova

You do realise there is an enormous spectrum between minimum wage work and being paid millions to cut ribbons dont you?

Also can you please verify:

  1. That they raise 'billions' in charity money and that
  2. The billions were raised directly as a consequence of having a royal patron

William gave up his only useful job knowing he wasnt even next in line to the throne Hmm

And if all they do is 'fundraising' why do they have the most expensive and exclusive education imaginable?

Pelleas · 23/04/2020 12:55

One minute he’s the privileged tax funded spawn of spongers, now he’s a “poor mite” and you’re concerned for his welfare?

I don't see how you can deny that Louis is privileged and tax funded - obviously the point of difference is whether his parents are spongers or not.

Personally I have no concern about Louis's welfare in excess of the normal concern I'd feel about the welfare of any other human being.

Wolfgirrl · 23/04/2020 12:55

@Alsohuman

privileged tax funded spawn of spongers

You just made that up, so it is you being vile there.

The republican argument is in the best interests of the royal children. Look at Harry feeling he needs to take Archie out of the spotlight if you want evidence.

Wolfgirrl · 23/04/2020 12:57

@Alsohuman

If you believe royal life is that of duty and unbearable press intrusion, why do you want that for Louis and the others?
