Boris MIA again?

Anyone think it's rather strange that Boris is still out of action and that, yet again, he's nowhere to be seen - a repeat of the election and the floods....

Absolutely no fan of BoJo but he looked extremely unwell on that video yesterday. Looks to have lost quite a bit of weight rapidly too.

He came out to clap a short while ago, so he's definitely not missing.

I suspect having to work instead of resting up in bed is also taking its toll, even if his symptoms are as 'mild' as we've been told.

I actually thought to myself he didn’t look too bad on his video yesterday. No tie was noted but genuinely thought he just looked ruffled but that’s nothing new.

If he could be well enough, or even made to appear well enough, to be brought out in public, he would be for sure.

So I think we can assume he is not. Hope he recovers soon, for one thing the spectre of Raab in charge is unthinkable.

No fan of his, but he has an illness which is potentially serious both to him, and to others whom he could infect. It's the responsible thing for him to take it seriously and stay at home.

It was reported this morning that, although his symptoms are still described as “mild”, he might not be well enough to end self-isolation after the initial 7-day period: Guardian link.

I'm not fan, quite the opposite, but he did look rather ill the other day on Twitter. The PM probably isn't in optimal health anyhow - he doesn't bike to work anymore, he's a tad overweight and stress can do terrible things to the body. So he's unlikely to 'bounce back' as quickly as younger, fitter people. The likelihood is that he'll make a full recovery and whilst I detest his politics, I still wish him all the best with this.

You think they would just tell us if he got really worse? Of course not.

He looked out of breath and in pain in his twitter video. Anyone denying it is just blinded by pettiness.

It's actually quite worrying. A) he is a human being with a family whatever our opinion of him. B) I don't think he did that bad during the worst crisis the country has ever faced (don't punch me, but at least he didn't pull a Donald Trump on us 3) now is not the time to deal with losing a PM.

I was thinking that the message he released yesterday indicated they felt under pressure for him to appear, and that he wouldn't want it to look like power was shifting to other people. But thinking about it, that is only one of many perspectives.

Hi looked normal for him in the video. He always looks dishevelled and like he's hungover. That's his USP. Apparently.

He looked really sick yesterday and before that he looked knackered so he isn’t going to just bounce back. I am not a fan at all but can feel some sympathy.
