Boris MIA again?

Anyone think it's rather strange that Boris is still out of action and that, yet again, he's nowhere to be seen - a repeat of the election and the floods....

OP posts:
Namechange4nowt45 · 02/04/2020 20:24

Do you watch the news op? Hes working from home whilst sick . Hes done more than most leaders have done to support our country.

slartibarti · 02/04/2020 20:25

He was said nearly a week ago now to have a very very mild case. Why should he still look ill?

It sometimes starts off mild and people think they're getting over it, then it suddenly gets much worse.

TheABC · 02/04/2020 20:26

Look, regardless of how serious or mild it is, the place I would prefer Johnson to be right now is in bed, at home. I don't want any leader making crucial decisions when they are ill with something so (potentially) serious.

There's also the little fact that every time he goes out, he could infect someone at the moment.

alloutoffucks · 02/04/2020 20:26

What happens with corona is by day 6/7 people either start to get better, or they get much worse, If they get much worse they are at a real risk of being hospitalised and dying. Is that what you are saying is happening to Boris? He is at risk of dying from the virus?

ChainsawBear · 02/04/2020 20:26

He was said nearly a week ago now to have a very very mild case.

I reckoned I had a very very mild case on Monday and was still running around after my kids. Today I couldn't get out of bed and could barely talk. I've never had an illness like this where I got steadily worse - usually Day 1 is worst and then you recover slowly - but it does seem to be the way Covid-19 can progress.

Whenwillthisbeover · 02/04/2020 20:26

Look, i know the man is a buffoon but he’s not well. I hope he comes out of this, and as a result has some appreciation and empathy for the 1000s of others suffering now and about to.

RedRedScab · 02/04/2020 20:26

Surely this is a joke?

OP if you struggle to keep yourself updated, please tell me you've got the message about social distancing and washing your hands etc.? I'm baffled by your ignorance.

alloutoffucks · 02/04/2020 20:30

Why is it a joke to think that if he has got much iller after a week he could die? He is a man, fat and older, and all that puts him at real risk.

YangShanPo · 02/04/2020 20:31

The point is he's said he is still in charge so we want to know he is up to the job, otherwise he should be letting someone else take over till he is better.

Disfordarkchocolate · 02/04/2020 20:31

He looked pretty unwell in the last video.

JassyRadlett · 02/04/2020 20:31

Doesn't WHO advise 14 days, only Boris said we have special virus so only 7 days for UK?

No, SAGE said that isolating for 7 days had very little difference in terms of cases and deaths to 14 days for the infected person. I’m no fan of Boris, but let’s not invent our own ‘facts’ during a national crisis, eh?

The No 10 lobby briefing today said he still had a fever so in line with guidelines will be in isolation until he no longer has symptoms.

alloutoffucks · 02/04/2020 20:32

I am more concerned that if he dies, the impact this would have on the country.

vanillandhoney · 02/04/2020 20:32

I'm not a fan of Boris but bloody hell, now isn't time to criticise his lack of presence!

Saddler · 02/04/2020 20:33

He's ill, are you a bit slow OP?

GinDrinker00 · 02/04/2020 20:34

Would you rather him out and about infecting more people? Give it a rest OP.

msmith501 · 02/04/2020 20:36

Although the NHS ad ice is only 7 days for those living alone, the WHO are still recommending 14 days for all instances.

Mlou32 · 02/04/2020 20:38

Umm. He's got COVID-19. However he is still doing videos. What more do you want from someone who is probably pretty sick atm?

HoffiCoffi13 · 02/04/2020 20:38

Is that what you are saying is happening to Boris? He is at risk of dying from the virus?

Well we have no idea, do we? But everyone is at risk of dying from the virus, so Boris is no different.

alloutoffucks · 02/04/2020 20:38

NHS staff go back after 7 days.

HoffiCoffi13 · 02/04/2020 20:39

NHS staff go back after 7 days

If they’re well enough.

LilacTree1 · 02/04/2020 20:39

OP, he released a video yesterday.

Did you want one every 12 hours.?

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 02/04/2020 20:39

Sadly there are some real nasty people around

Sadly there are some really, really thick and also some nasty people around.
Fixed that for you.

alloutoffucks · 02/04/2020 20:40

Everyone is at risk, but some people are at higher risk. Men have a higher risk, as does anyone fat, and his age also works against him. I know unlike normal people in his situation he will get the absolute best medical care though.

alloutoffucks · 02/04/2020 20:43

@HoffiCoffi13 No unless they are very ill they are expected to go back. I know this from experience.

HoffiCoffi13 · 02/04/2020 20:43

So as you are aware of that alloutoffucks, why are you asking if Boris is at risk of dying? Surely you already know that’s the case? He was COVID19. He’s overweight. He’s not particularly young. He’s male.
