Boris MIA again?

Anyone think it's rather strange that Boris is still out of action and that, yet again, he's nowhere to be seen - a repeat of the election and the floods....

He was said nearly a week ago now to have a very very mild case. Why should he still look ill?

Exactly, wonder if he's rethinking his 7 days in isolation recommendation now, everywhere else it's 14 days.

I'm not a fan of his, but I wouldn't wish this illness on him or anyone else, but by golly karma is taking every word he's said and throwing it back at him.

Sarahlou63 · 03/04/2020 09:34

Really? Your political agenda wouldn’t be that you are still smarting about Brexit then? Given that you live in an EU country.

I have permanent residency in Portugal and an Irish passport.

That doesn't stop you being annoyed about it though, does it? Have you always had an Irish passport or did you apply for it because of Brexit?

PieceOfMaria · 03/04/2020 09:41

Actualy don't bother answering that. A quick AV search of your name plus Brexit and Irish passport tells me all I need to know about your apparent lack of political agenda.

Sarahlou63 · 03/04/2020 09:42

I got the Irish passport to maintain my freedom of movement in the EU. I am not 'annoyed' about Brexit - I think it was/is a wholly avoidable tragedy for the UK (especially the next generation) and will benefit only a tiny percentage of already very wealthy individuals. I doubt I'm alone in that opinion (although that's not to say I'm right - it is just an opinion).

Boris being lazy is my favourite saying too but there is no way on earth that ou can apply that to this situation

It is common for people.to be mildly ill in the first week and then to deteriorate quite quickly in the second week. Sometimes after seeming to feel a bit better.

Boris is in his 50s and has probably been subject to little sleep and a lot of stress in the last couple of months and before that a busy campaign . I think he may have progressed to pneumonia though hopefully a mild case

I am.somewhat worried about Chris Whitty as well . Hopefully they will both be out of isolation soon.

Katinski · 03/04/2020 09:51

I really, but really hope that BoJo now realises the absolute fact that nurses require proper clothing to nurse Covid patients. THAT would be a positive outcome.

selfisolatingsince2007 · 03/04/2020 09:55

LOL is this question serious? He has the virus nincompoop. Do you want him out and about shaking hands and doing pressers? No thank you.

Pretty sure he's still working and is following medical and his own governments advice. Like him or hate him, he's doing a very very tough job.

PieceOfMaria · 03/04/2020 09:59

You are right, I apologise. You have never, as far as I can tell, used the word 'annoyed' to describe how you feel about Brexit.

But you have said you are 'sad' and 'angry', and you've felt sad and angry enough to start a few threads about Brexit so I think it's probably fair to say you might also be quite annoyed, even if you haven't said so.

My point being that you cannot look anyone in the eye and say you had no political agenda when you started this thread.

tegucigalpa13 · 03/04/2020 10:07

I have permanent residency in Portugal and an Irish passport

So are you still a UK voter - because that is the best place to make your political views heard.

Are you still a UK tax payer?

Sarahlou63 · 03/04/2020 11:44

@tegucigalpa13 - no and no

OP posts:
cyclingmad · 03/04/2020 11:58

Unbelievable

PieceOfMaria · 03/04/2020 14:49

So are you still a UK voter

Are you still a UK tax payer?

no and no

And yet here you are, 25 years after leaving the UK, permenent resident somewhere else and still obsessing over British politics and criticising the PM for going 'MIA' during the floods and 'MIA' while he has coronavirus.

Honestly, I am often surrounded by people exactly like you (I have a holiday home in an EU country) are I question why they ever left the UK at all. Despite hating the UK and saying 'over my dead body' would they ever come back, they are utterly and permanently obsessed, is the only word to describe it, with British politics and the British PM. They spend far more time bitching about that than discussing the system in the country they live and work in.

You'd think if they really cared that much about how the UK is getting everything wrong, they'd come home and do something useful about it.

PicsInRed · 03/04/2020 14:56

He's looks fucking terrible. He's in his 50s, likely drinks a fair amount, not in top shape and has probably barely slept or eaten properly since this began. His starting point was higher risk for severe disease.

I hope he doesn't die. Decent people would feel the same way not self identified "good" people who are actually nasty shits.

alloutoffucks · 03/04/2020 15:00

He has looked that way for about 3 weeks. I don't believe he is at all at risk of dying. Not even convinced he actually has corona.

PicsInRed · 03/04/2020 15:04

He has looked that way for about 3 weeks

He probably contacted it then. And has been working around the clock.

And he looked much rougher the other day.

Mummyoflittledragon · 03/04/2020 15:07

alloutoffucks
Really?? He’s been tested.

PieceOfMaria · 03/04/2020 15:07

Oh Christ. Save me from the conspiracy theorists.

HoffiCoffi13 · 03/04/2020 15:08

alloutoffucks is on a lot of threads basically saying he can’t really be ill because he’s looked the same for ages, so must be lying.

alloutoffucks · 03/04/2020 15:09

Fine, but all you saying he looks more ill, I don't see it. Someone said he looked bright pink when if anything he looks a bit pale.
Charles looks ill with his bright pink face.

And if someone constantly lies as Boris does, then no wonder I and others wonder if he is lying this time.

HoffiCoffi13 · 03/04/2020 15:11

It doesn’t matter whether you think he looks ill for not. Or whether he looks any more ill now than he did 3 weeks ago. Or whether he looks the same sort of ill as other people who have it. Or whether you believe he’s at risk of dying or not (everyone who contracts it is at risk of dying). Or whether he should have recovered now or not.
He had a positive test for COVID19.

x2boys · 03/04/2020 15:12

He looks shocking as does Prince Charles ,regardless of people's politics this is not a time for point scoring

PotholeParadise · 03/04/2020 15:14

He looks really ill. It's not his expression, it's his complexion. He just looks terribly ill.

I don't think it would be a good PR move for Johnson to pretend to have coronavirus, because we, the British people, are not that nice.

alloutoffucks · 03/04/2020 15:17

But if he was pretending, how would you ever find out he was lying?

HoffiCoffi13 · 03/04/2020 15:18

Why would he pretend?
