to suggest that newcomers to this site should stop farkin' whining

gawd .. we all have children you know, I think our ability to deal with whinging is used up there

I can think of a number of 'newcomers' who hit the ground running and almost immediately gained 'oldie' status .. Boco and LittleLapin immediately spring to mind but I know there are more

They came on the site articulate, intelligent, empathetic, amusing and slightly sarcastic

that's what mn is about

we don't tend to be tabloid

either you like it here or you don't .. but you're adults .. grow up and join in and quit farkin' whinging

I am a relatively newbie and I don't whine, I stay orf the bitchin' threads, try to be supportive to those in need, and add a funny anecdote where appropriate.
But still nobody talks, and nobody answers any of my (quite reasonable) questions.
Methinks you must all be too busy worrying about the whingy newcomers.
Maybe I will return one day when all the whinging is over. Won't hold my breath tho.

What questions, Vikkin? I'll give it a go.

This site is so big these days, no-one can guarantee any thread they start will catch on, tbh.

OK OK maybe I was holding my breath .
Thank you very much.

Crocky · 12/09/2007 21:03

Vikken, if you are still around and breathing can I just ask about a comment you made last week.
What is the problem with a five year old wearing a night nappy?

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 12:35

[pondering if I ever was bollocked by custy]
I think I probably have been...me being opinionated brings that with it, lol!

I have been over a year a member now...wow....not that that means anything...

lol at the bribery with cake going on [why did I never think of that]

MonachusPanthera · 13/09/2007 12:37

Put them in the philosphy - along eith 'don't be a big bloody baby'!

haychee · 13/09/2007 13:00

Ironically it was the mm/shrek thing in the news that brought me here as a newbie, to lodge my opinion of the influence MN had over that issue. I wonder how many newbies like me arrived at the same time?
I think the longer users here have brought in more newbies by highlighting the site in the news an have therefore brought this all on themselves.

marthamoo · 13/09/2007 13:04

I like newbies.

Couldn't eat a whole one though.

I'm kind and nice a very scary oldie. Well, sort of oldie. Not as old as the real oldies but not as new as the newbies.

Monkeytrousers · 13/09/2007 18:04

I have been told I am scary, though I don't think I am. And am not as old as Marthamoo I think
