Can be from theme parks in the uk or in another country or local fair ground rides or any others.

Mine was this:

Not that I checked but if I didn’t end up with even the tiniest bit of involuntary piss in my pants after this, I would be very surprised. It’s the closest I have ever felt like thinking that I was in so much danger I could actually die 😰

The Ranger at Blackpool in the mid 80's. It was a pirate ship that went upside down - terrifying

Fuss · 21/03/2020 19:30

Tower of Terror in Disney California is now Guardians of The Galaxy themed and one of my favourite rides ever.

Went Alton Towers last weekend for the first time in years and I loved Thirteen. Kids persuaded me to The Smiler, hated it. Hated every second. Threw my head around far too much.

Fleamaker123 · 21/03/2020 19:31

I agree with other posters, Grand National at Blackpool is horrendous, I remember persuading my dad to go on it with me when I was little, poor man!!
The worst one EVER though were the space rockets at Blackpool. Bit like those swings on wires that go round a pole. I took my young nephew and niece on with me. Starts off lovely, nice and gentle, think I was actually admiring the view out over the beach. Then as they go higher and round faster you are actually sitting on your side with only G-force and a prayer holding you in. Couldn't turn round to see if my nephew sat behind us had fallen out. Presumed he had. I remember thinking how i was going to tell my sister that I'd killed her children.

Snowy111 · 21/03/2020 19:31

Icon at Blackpool. Kept my eyes shut the whole ride though so might not have been as scary as I imagined 😂

Dontknownow86 · 21/03/2020 19:32

Water ride in Italy. You have to take a three person dingy to the top and at the point you start to question if its a good idea you are too far up to go back down.

I was at the back and I came forward over the top of my friends. It felt like we weren't on the slide but free-falling for a good portion of it. We all pretty much crawled to the edge and sat shivering for 30 minutes after.

Soubriquet · 21/03/2020 19:38

I think I can persuaded to go on most rides...

But anything like the stratosphere would be my limit.

I can’t bear the idea of going on a ride already on top of sky scraper. It would be hard enough to go on a glass plated floor that high up without sticking a ride into it

I think I would cry

19lottie82 · 21/03/2020 19:44

We went on a rollercoaster at Ferrari world in Abu Dhabi, it’s the fastest in the world, they give you safety goggles to wear so your eyeballs don’t explode 🤮

PrincessHoneysuckle · 21/03/2020 19:46

@JadziaSnax yes! The fucking wild mouse.I was terrified!

Ken1976 · 21/03/2020 19:47

Years ago.The MD Mouse either at Blackpool or Southport , it was so rickety and had a hairpin bend where you thought you were going to be flung off into the air. I came off it battered and bruised . I've been on the Big One at Blackpool and that is tame compared to the Mad Mouse Shock

Seriously79 · 21/03/2020 19:48

Expedition Everest - florida! I was close to soiling myself - petrifying!

Delatron · 21/03/2020 19:50

Yep, Grand National at Blackpool aged about 8. I honestly nearly fell off it.

BritishHorrorStory · 21/03/2020 19:55

@sunfloweryy
There was also a Dinosaur one at Animal kingdom in Florida that scared me way more than it should have.

Is that the one where at the end a giant T Rex charges towards you just as you are going down a steep drop? If so, I have never looked the ride up again and haven’t been to Florida since which I’m glad for because, after seeing my expression the camera caught on my face, I am CONVINCED they must use it as a promo image to advertise it, it was too much of a look of pure terror and wouldn’t make sense for them not to.Blush On the upside, I could be somewhat of a low list “celebrity” in Florida without even knowing. I’ve done that dinosaur ride

The first time petrified me and my mum. We was in the same row as a rather overweight man. We thought it was all ok...till we got to the end and went down the chute. My mum just about sat on me to pin me to the back once we realised how big a gap there was between us and the safety bar

ihearttc · 21/03/2020 20:16

The Worlds Fastest rollercoaster at Ferrarai World in Abu Dhabi is pretty intense!

I loved The Mummy at Universal.

We went to Motiongate in Dubai last year and went on a Madagascar Ride which I assumed would be quite gentle...it was so so fast!!

transformandriseup · 21/03/2020 20:17

Wild Mouse at Blackpool but also Smiler at Alton Towers, it just didn't feel safe.

hammeringinmyhead · 21/03/2020 20:20

The steep drop/T-rex ride sounds like the Jurassic Park one at Universal. I think that's closed for redesign now.

FAIL2PREPARE · 21/03/2020 20:23

Manta at SeaWorld Orlando, never getting on there again!

littlepeas · 21/03/2020 20:29

I ducked for the T. rex on the Jurassic world ride at universal (LA) - we were there the day it opened last summer. Scariest is def oblivion though - I refused to go on when it first opened and for years after, but finally got dragged onto it by my kids last year. It was as scary as I thought it would be - I was fine with everything else.

Nowgimmeagin · 21/03/2020 20:31

Saw- Thorpe Park. Scared the shit out of me!

Honeyroar · 21/03/2020 20:35

I haven’t been on a rollercoaster for over 20 years! I used to love them. The Big One in Blackpool put me off. That slow climb up that first hill had me traumatised! A few years later I briefly went out with an engineer from Blackpool Pleasure Beach and his stories put me off! (not safety issues, just stories of riders having to be walked down when rides broke/wind conditions were wrong).

ArthurDentsSpaceTowel · 21/03/2020 20:36

Space Mountain in Disneyland Paris about 12 years ago. Not so much scary as fundamentally uncomfortable. I really didn't like the way my head went from side to side and I came off it decidedly (so to speak) spaced out. Shock

rainbowcakes · 21/03/2020 20:45

OMG steeplechase at blackpool pleasure beach....i was so convinced i was going to be thrown off it every time it went round a corner!

Any of the wooden rollercoasters at blackpool really, they are so rickety. In fact, we were going to go on the Big Dipper again just before the park shut. Decided to go on something else instead and im SO glad we did because there was a crash just when we would've gone on it! There was this huge commotion and we wondered WTF was going on. One of the carriages randomly stopped on the track and the other one slammed into the back of it! Imagine how bloody scared you would've been in the stationary car knowing the next one was coming up behind you. Never going on one of those again. This was in August 2009

Fleamaker123 · 21/03/2020 20:55

The horse one at Blackpool is called the Steeplechase, just had to watch a clip on YouTube... Can't believe how high it was!

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 21/03/2020 21:03

OMG I'd forgotten that dinosaur thing at AK. That traumatised me so much that I had blanked it from my memory.

Evilspiritgin · 21/03/2020 21:11

Drachen fire at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, I think they had to close it!!

I agree about the Grand National at Blackpool

The simpsons ride universal Orlando never again
