I ordered a jigsaw on amazon this morning!

YouTheCat · 15/03/2020 14:00

Prime has all the Ally McBeal's on. There's a tonne of boxsets to watch. I've also got a stack of books in my 'to read' pile.

Cheerbear23 · 15/03/2020 14:01

I’m thinking jigsaws, board games, cards. Also using the treadmill which has been gathering dust for last few years 🙈.
Learning to cook cheap veggie based receipts, and you tube exercise videos.

BelfryBat · 15/03/2020 14:03

Knitting, sewing, painting, embroidery.

JewelTheft · 15/03/2020 14:04

Scrabble, trivial pursuit, learn coding online, gardening if you have access to a garden, online yoga / fitness DVDs. I'll be doing a lot of baking, crochet and plan to clear out wardrobes and the junk room if there is time.

123Dancewithme · 15/03/2020 14:04

Yoga

TankGirl97 · 15/03/2020 14:05

Yes to jigsaws, good idea. Maybe taking up a craft - clay modelling, knitting, jewellery making. Origami.
At least if you're a keen gardener it's the perfect time of year to be stuck at home.
Loads of good workouts and yoga on YouTube. My kids love cosmic yoga.

BlackeyedSusan · 15/03/2020 14:05

Crochet and knitting. Look for the woolly hugs board for inspiration. Helping refugees, sick babies, women with cancer, the bereaved, etc etc.

FromIbizaToTheNorfolkMaud · 15/03/2020 14:06

I'll be weeding the garden and working through my sewing stash

PaperFlowers4 · 15/03/2020 14:06

DH and I have Uno. I foresee many games in our near future

username108 · 15/03/2020 14:07

Shagging

AnotherEmma · 15/03/2020 14:08

If I didn't have a 3 year old I would be doing a big Marie Condo declutter, binge watching Netflix/Prime and having lots of naps Grin
Plus reading books, online shopping.

Or just the usual - wasting time on Mumsnet! Except that it's very boring on here now, about 75% of the active threads are about bloody CV.

TroysMammy · 15/03/2020 14:09

I make cards, have a sewing machine, a dolls house beach hut that needs decorating and assembling, veg seeds to plant in the greenhouse, unfinished cross stitch projects. I think I would need to self isolate for months not weeks.

MissBPotter · 15/03/2020 14:13

Colouring in! Baking, making smoothies and cooking, card game, cleaning the house, sorting random drawers/cupboards etc, learning about a particular period in history that interests you (I’m going for the Anglo-Saxon period), working out (I’m doing weights), thinking of business ideas, reading.

ChilliMayo · 15/03/2020 14:14

Investigate conspiracy theories.

Play two-balls up the hall wall.

Skipping rope.

Make a big collage of all the people you dislike and play darts.

Take photos of random objects around the house and then play snap. You show the photo on your phone, the others have to find the object.

Open University free courses.

Download a Pub quiz book.

woodencoffeetable · 15/03/2020 14:15

love the suggestions.
we have got stuff in to plant up the balcony, gives us something to do and outside for a bit.
what we also do (also for the dc) is schedule in half an hour of exercise a day. if you have a dusty home trainer under the bed - now is the time to get it out.

MrsFionaCharming · 15/03/2020 14:16

I’ve also got a tin of Guide badges that need sewing on, and a wedding scrap book to make.

I’m quite excited!

Marmite27 · 15/03/2020 14:18

I trawlled the charity shops for 1000 jigsaws last week 4 for £1!

Findawaytobehappy · 15/03/2020 14:18

Sleeping
Drinking coffee
And if you’re in Italy, watching porn apparently.

Glowcat · 15/03/2020 14:18

Jigsaws are a great idea. I’ll dig some out. Does anyone have good links for learning to sew or crochet?

I would do gardening but would have a massive backlog of green waste, so would probably have to paint the fence.

Lactarius · 15/03/2020 14:20

I've ordered 100kg of coal to use in my new forge and I've just had a delivery of steel. I plan to spend my time making a grappling hook - it's not indoors but is under cover in the garden and that's close enough for me.

Glowcat · 15/03/2020 14:20

I feel like sex and cleaning need their own threads. Pornhub and Mrs Hinch aren’t my bag.

OP posts:
Gin96 · 15/03/2020 14:20

I have a huge fence in my garden that needs painting, a job that never gets done, there is a field the other side so not near anyone.

Auridon4life · 15/03/2020 14:21

I got a gaming laptop and a subscription to elderscrolls online plus. It's amazing just delving into massive world's with brilliant stories.
