I think in our desperation for social interaction, we’ll just become hardcore mn addicts.

FloraGreysteel · 15/03/2020 17:34

Decorate the house!

adaline · 15/03/2020 17:35

For us, it'll be a combination of the following:

DIY/housework/painting. We have plenty that needs doing indoors.
Training the dog to do various pointless tricks.
Bothering the cat.
Reading all the books I keep meaning to look at.
Binge-watching Netflix series.
Video games.
Crosswords/puzzle books.

Procrastination4 · 15/03/2020 17:35

I’m going to try to structure my day like this-I’m dreadful for procrastinating (hence my usernameGrin)

If you're a sims fan try Theme Hospital, very retro game but I think you can still download or possibly even buy it...

BellsaRinging · 15/03/2020 17:37

We're planning to paint the sitting room! Also to sort charity shop stuff and spring clean. Also I have loads of books and tv to watch. Also will be helping the teen revise, which I wouldn't have been able to do otherwise. Am picking up some weights to.orrow so can still lift if the gym closes, and we have loads of board games...only about 10 days food though (normal.stuff in). I am refusing to panic buy on basis that there will be permission to shop c. once a week and it's not sensible for the community to stockpile.

OfaFrenchmind2 · 15/03/2020 17:37

I do not know if somebody already recommended the Khan academy? Great platform to learn on many subjects.

LittleMissnotLittleMrs · 15/03/2020 18:01

I will be practising how to be the most comfortable bed for a demanding furball. He checks daily whether I am improving!

MulticolourMophead · 15/03/2020 18:09

Play two-balls up the hall wall.

I remember that from school, a long time ago Grin

My go-tos are crochet, MN, baking, reading. I also think I'll be attempting yoga using some YouTube tutorials, re-arranging and decluttering some stuff, I have some other crafts I like doing. I won't be bored, and as I tend to eat more at work, I reckon I could even lose some weight.

DysonFury · 15/03/2020 18:28

Painting and drawing. Planting and tending edibles. Mumsnetting. Exercising.

pirateparker · 15/03/2020 18:38

Would love to just get straight and on top of odd jobs! And maybe then try some of these lovely ideas.

Mintjulia · 15/03/2020 18:45

Spring cleaning, redecorating, scrabble and chess with ds. Helping him revise French verbs. Gardening, weeding, cleaning greenhouse ready for tomato plants (since there are no tinned ones in the shops),

I’ve bought two large cans of exterior paint (on special offer) so can paint outside of house in the evenings, once clocks go forward. I can’t infect anyone if I’m up a ladder.
Emailing all those friends I never have time to.
Sadly no sex as am single at the mo.

Beesisabuzzin · 15/03/2020 18:49

I'd love to say I'll be bettering myself but I know damn well I'll be sewing, gardening, watching trash TV and online. I don't know how people without outdoor space will cope.

I honestly don't know how I'll manage if I can't see my friends.

MerryDeath · 15/03/2020 19:05

SO MUCH! i don't want to go out anyway. first of all our house is a 'project' and we could be at it for the next 12mo and still not be done. our garden is such a project it's a whole other project. i also knit, sew, love to cook, used to draw and paint. I'm well happy at home i just want everyone else to be ok too.

Itstheprinciple · 15/03/2020 19:15

I've been to Hobbycraft today to get some bits to start making my own Christmas cards in the event we have to self isolate. I also plan to read the stack of books I've bought but not got round to and clear out Dd's bedroom ready for the redecoration she has planned.

Glowcat · 15/03/2020 20:03

Thanks for the sims advice.

Apparently there is a newer game called Two Point Hospital which is similar and made by some of the creators of theme hospital - I haven't played it though. No time tragically!

confusedofengland · 15/03/2020 20:44

Nillynally · 15/03/2020 21:02

Crochet!

Ilovetea09 · 15/03/2020 21:04

Well I'm very lucky to have a garden. We always spend lots of time outside as the weather warms up. We even eat our evening meal out there. The kids have climbing frames and, trampoline, playhouse.they have a tennis net and can play football and we also have a dog. Have a bbq. I could sit outside all day just relaxing or reading and i feel less anxious. Really looking forward to the better weather.
On the rainy days we've got board games, messing about on the Internet, ancestry, son will play on xbox so will still be able to speak to friends. We have some DIY to do. Decluttering. And just living life at a slower pace I think and appreciating each other

Fluffybutter · 15/03/2020 21:04

I’m going to be decluttering and we’ll do some gardening , drinking and probably messing around in bed ..
I have the Switch too so maybe some professor Layton

MrsT1405 · 15/03/2020 21:44

I'm on total lockdown in Spain. I'm retired so used to having plenty of time. I'm only on day 2 ,but already feeling a bit claustrophobic. I craft, knit, colour , garden a little but not been able to go for coffee or meal or to meet friends is already weighing a little heavy.

NameChange657 · 15/03/2020 23:38

I can recommend YouTube for learning to crochet! I was hospitalised after an accident for weeks and got so bored, I tried to crochet from a book and couldn't figure it out, but a couple of trips to youtube and I learnt within a few days, BellaCoco was brilliant with her tutorials. I started with a granny square :)

rocketmen · 16/03/2020 00:34

Borderlands 3 and Dragon Age. Time to do all of the available romances in Dragon Age!
