Why are you asking?

I don't think I have a favourite vegetable. They all taste boring to me. I eat most vegetables, except for peas and sweetcorn, but I couldn't say any taste amazing. They can be cooked nicely or make up part of a nice recipe, but on their own I think they're boring and pretty bland.

FireandFury · 13/03/2020 21:47

Pak choi I think. Love the stuff

Borris · 13/03/2020 21:48

Sugar snap peas

Mrhodgeymaheg · 13/03/2020 21:48

Trying to think of what I do like and it has transpired that I like all veg.

Purple sprouting broccoli probably the best I would say, then Choi Sum. La de dah.

JaceLancs · 13/03/2020 21:51

Brussel sprouts

Lumpjumpbump12 · 13/03/2020 21:52

Courgette, aubergine, peppers, mushrooms.

Humphs27 · 13/03/2020 21:54

Broccoli

Hippee · 13/03/2020 21:55

For a treat - artichoke
Also love beetroot, parsnip and asparagus.

sweetiesfee · 13/03/2020 21:55

Sprouts

booksandwool · 13/03/2020 22:00

Butternut squash, roasted in cubes.

Wineislifex · 13/03/2020 22:02

Cauliflower cheese, broccoli cheese, leeks in cheese sauce

You get the idea 🤣

PontiacBandit · 13/03/2020 22:03

Baby corn, lovely raw or steamed.

hookiwooki · 13/03/2020 22:08

I've not met many I don't love, and for that reason I couldn't choose just one.

Best non-green ones: butternut squash, bell peppers, onions and carrots.

Best green ones: broccoli and sprouts.

SinglePringle · 13/03/2020 23:02

Anything green:

Spinach. Lots of lovely spinach.
Spring greens and cabbage (all kinds)
Runner beans
Asparagus
Broccoli (but not purple sprouting)
Sprouts

SinglePringle · 13/03/2020 23:03

Ooh cauliflower! And red peppers (but green can fuck off).

GrumpyHoonMain · 13/03/2020 23:06

Aubergine cooked the middle eastern or punjabi way. Yum

MunchyMunchkin · 13/03/2020 23:10

Broccoli especially the tenderstem stuff.

Icare1234 · 13/03/2020 23:11

Choi sum or Kai lam (both Chinese veg) with garlic

Aubergine
Courgette

Raw - cherry tomatoes

Charley50 · 13/03/2020 23:12

If potatoes didn't count I'll probably say onion. I love sweet and slightly crispy large slices of onions in a stir fry, and sweet roasted onions.
But broccoli tastes so healthy.
Can I post again with my other username?

Redshoeblueshoe · 13/03/2020 23:14

Purple sprouting broccoli. I cba to dig up my plants in September, now I've got some broccoli. It's delicious

ErrolTheDragon · 13/03/2020 23:17

Red: roast red peppers
Orange: roasted butternut squash
Yellow : fresh corn on the cob
Green: Tenderstem broccoli
Blue: ...nope
Violet (sort of) : roasted beetroot

Why aren't there any blue vegetables?

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 13/03/2020 23:19

Think it would have to be leeks Smile
Yum

lowlandLucky · 14/03/2020 00:09

Cauliflower, yum

HalfBearOtherHalfCat · 14/03/2020 02:25

Onions, turnips, parsnips and peas are strong contenders, but for me leeks are the best.

DH's favorite is okra. DH is a wrong 'un

Megan2018 · 14/03/2020 02:30

Peas and Broccoli- can’t choose between them. Eat bloody loads! I suppose peas might have the edge for frozen convenience...
