Raw: peas straight from the pod
Cooked: mushrooms or courgette

shinyredbus · 13/03/2020 21:20

Sweet potato and samphire

livingmyslothlife · 13/03/2020 21:21

Cauliflower or Purple Broccoli. But like most vegetables except celery.

Mmsnet101 · 13/03/2020 21:22

Potatoes

Beetroot (if only it didn't stain my worktops so much!) but none of the crinkle cut weirdness. Baby pickled or normal.

Neeps (aka Turnip/swede)

Not many I don't like tbf!

lljkk · 13/03/2020 21:22

Brocoli, peas. I can't think of any I truly dislike, actually.
I'm not a huge fan of apples, though, but do eat them.

HarrietM87 · 13/03/2020 21:23

Broccoli and cauliflower...and tomatoes if allowed

Nacknick · 13/03/2020 21:23

Broad beans

Thurmanmurman · 13/03/2020 21:24

Runner beans

Redcrayons · 13/03/2020 21:24

If we’re allowed tomatoes then that’s my first choice.

But for Proper vegetables, Savoy cabbage, the darker the leaves the better.

I probably eat more carrots than anything else as they go with everything and DCs love them.
There’s not many vegetables I don’t like.

Flummingbird · 13/03/2020 21:26

@CherryMaple off to screenshot a recipe now, thanks!!!

LaBelleSauvage123 · 13/03/2020 21:27

Aubergine, asparagus, kale ( roasted until crispy)

Mrsjayy · 13/03/2020 21:27

I hate green beans they are too squeaky !

LooseleafTea · 13/03/2020 21:30

I’m surprised several people like parsnips, they are the one veg I don’t like .

Mine would be swede. And spinach. Also chard.

ThreeImaginaryBoys · 13/03/2020 21:30

Swede!

WaterOffADucksCrack · 13/03/2020 21:31

Potato if it's allowed! If not then probably corn on the cob with plenty of butter. I'd like to give a special mention to mushrooms, courgettes and raw carrots!

myidentitymycrisis · 13/03/2020 21:33

Brussel tops - maybe because you don't get them often
But its very hard to choose - I love them all

Speminalium · 13/03/2020 21:33

Squeaky homegrown green beans or asparagus just picked

TaterWaffle · 13/03/2020 21:34

Ridge cucumber, and/or a pepper, as crudités with a blob of mayo.

But if someone is going to cook for me, aubergine, courgettes, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers... ratatouille!

Or with a roast, some sort of cabbage or kale, pumpkin or squash, parsnips, carrots, potatoes.

I don’t have hot/cooked food very often at all. Boo hoo, sad times.

speakout · 13/03/2020 21:35

I love all vegetables- probably aubergine or cabbage are my favourites.

RightOnTheEdge · 13/03/2020 21:35

Carrots if they are in a cake Grin

Toria70 · 13/03/2020 21:36

Ocado had kohlrabi on offer last week - I love them chopped up like matchsticks on a salad. But most eaten veg in the house is tenderstem broccoli - we usually have 6 large bags of it a week Blush Bloody DH won't touch normal broccoli.

Watermelontea · 13/03/2020 21:36

Ahh I can’t choose!

I think if I had a top 5 it’d be (in no particular order)

Potato
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Courgette
Onion

They’re all vegetables I’d have daily (though not necessarily at once!)

LR33 · 13/03/2020 21:45

Onion

FrenchBoule · 13/03/2020 21:46

Potato, tomato, onion,cabbage for versatility.
Beetroot and celeriac

LightDrizzle · 13/03/2020 21:46

Fartichokes. A rare and painful treat.
