Husband has NEVER seen them completely without makeup. Been together 11 years..

Main reason why is I have roscea, acne scars, awful redness and uneven skin.. I hate it and try and hide it as much as possible so I can honestly say he's never without even a bit of foundation on Blush

@MustardMitt

See, i don’t think that makes sense at all. My face and hands are washed right before I put anything on my face - why would my face have bacteria on it? If you’re using a spatula to scoop out cream, then unless you sanitise it every single time you use it then you’re still transferring whatever from the spatula to your face Confused

Plus, unless you regularly have open wounds the skin is pretty good at keeping bacteria out anyways.

I suppose you could use moisturiser that is squirted out so you don't have to put your hands or a spatula onto it.

OP this is the ideal time to see a GP because you won't have to go in person, you can have a phone consult and send photos in for them to advise on from the safety of your home. I have horrendous cystic back acne which has dogged my life since I was a teen, I was referred to a dermatologist before Christmas as it was so much easier to send photos than to see someone in person and I am finally getting treatment for it. The relief is incredible.

I ask my husband how he can bear to touch me and look at it sometimes, he just says that he loves all of me, it makes no difference what my skin looks like. I bet your husband would say the same too, if you got him on your side. I know how hard it is though. Take it slowly. But please talk to a GP, see if they can help Flowers

Hey everyone, OP here!!

I've kept up sleeping makeup free 🙂

I've tried to have a good skincare routine & currently use La Roche Posay 3 step treatment. My skin is definitely less oily bu still very red. Maybe that won't change now? I'm also on the Ysmin contraceptive pill which is ant to help acne. stweaeup ill
