Wine every Evening?

I love a glass of wine most nights, normally one or two but more at weekends, is this ok or a bad sign ?! Try to have one or 2 wine free nights. I associate it with wind down and relaxation as have a busy life.

Is it unreasonable to want to drink wine every eve?

@Russellbrandshair

Are you sure you aren’t a bit tipsy? 🍷🥃

A double whiskey or glass of wine per night is very different from a bottle of whiskey or a bottle of wine per night.

I usually have a 1 or two glasses a night most nights. Probably more on a weekend but I do try to have a couple of nights off during the week

As someone who drinks once or twice a month, it seems a bit much, but I don't see a problem with it. It's not like you're dependent.

This is always difficult to answer. I know quite a few people, who don't drink anything at all during the week but then drinks loads at the weekend. I also know some, who take pride in saying they don't drink Monday to Thursday (inclusive) but then they start drinking on Friday night and continue to Sunday including Sunday night. The latter, to me, means drinking 3 days out of 7, which is not really that much less than drinking Monday to Thursday.

Personally, I think it all boils down to how you feel about yourself and your drinking style and, more importantly, if you decided you wanted to stop, can you easily stop? If you generally feel good and have no issues giving up all drink at will, I'd say there is no issue.

The moment you find you need a drink and can't give go without easily, that's when I'd associate drinking with an issue regardless of the amount or the frequency.
