We have been travelling for a few months and have just returned to our very quiet little town to discover the grade 4 teacher, Ms X, is having an affair with the mother of one of the children in the class.
It is now a very public affair. The female teacher wants to remain in her job. The mother of 4 that is in the relationship is OK about everything. The father of the 4 children is furious and legal action is pending.
What would you do? The child in the Gr 4 class is well aware of everything and the family is in a mess.
My dd is due to join this class very soon. The betrayal of trust is beyond belief. My dd has been at the school for 4 yrs and very happy.
The issue is ...my trust of the gr 4 teacher is shattered. The unions are suppporting her and she intends to stay....she is very cold and hard....I think I should be looking for a different school
xx

Kerry - perhaps you haven't seen them in their dungarees? Shows them in a different light.

Im sure if people dont know any lesbians then they probably think they do wear dungarees - so they possibly didnt realise cod was being humourous/provocative. Custy never any doubt when you are being provocative LOL

There probably are also people who think all gay men like Liza Minelli.

Someone said to me the other day "oh I wouldnt be too upset if my son turned out gay...they are always so good their Mums"

yes you are being unreasonable - the teachers actual teaching proficiencey/abilities are not in question. She is supported by her union - Good
so what specific trust has she shatterd - eh none- except your subjective opinion of the alleged affair. which is frankly towny tittle tattle

it only actually impacts upon the adults concerned and that is their private business that has unfortunately became town tittle -tattle

you know what teachers are human too and as such capeable of infodelities etc - just like everyone else

the dungarees comment made - o dear tiny minds big stereotypes

i had a tutor at art college (not incredibly long ago) who wore osh kosh denim dungarees and looked ridiculous like a giant toddler

The thing with dungarees is they make even really thin people look fat...so why would anyone wear them!

SM - the affair (always assuming it exists) is also the business of the child and whatever the "grown ups" assume children are aware of these things (voice of experience here)

I cant say I ever worked anywhere where having a relationship with a co-worker was accceptable, im not saying it didnt happen but it was definately frowned upon.

See if you really wanted to provoke a response Cod you should have called the father who wanted to "do" you a Chav and said he wore gold jewellery & a shell suit - that seems to be fairly sensitive at the moment. He sounds lovely were you tempted?

LOL Elffriend - I had those red dungarees too

Seriously though. I mean a teacher should set a good example, shouldn't they? They shouldn't behaving an open affair with the parent of one of their pupils. That's just common sense and decency isn't it? A relationship is one thing (and still next exactly ideal if teaching that child if it can be helped) but an affair

You should see the list of professional conduct stuff I have to abide by, which I have to sign that I agree to. Loads of it covering relationships, financial matters, how I live me life, etc. I live the life of a saint me

Persoanlly I think if she is a good teacher then she should stay. I wouldn't expecy to los emy job if I had a lesbian affair with the mother of a customer (?!!) which is highly unlikeley.
