How many long term (6 months or more) romantic relationships have you had in your life?

I am 45. I have had 5 long term (6 months or longer) romantic relationships in my life (including my husband who I have been with for 15 years). I don't think that is a lot but my best friend does. Is this about normal (also had many years being single, so it all evens out).

I’m 37, only 1 relationship at all, with my DH (14 years). Never even slept with or kissed anyone else. Some might think I’ve missed out but I’m happy and he’s great.

I've had 4 relationships over 6 months. 3 of which were just over a year. I wouldn't class any of them as a 'longterm relationship'. Longterm you count in years not months.

Only one, we met when I was 17 and he was 25, 13 years and 3 kids later I can't imagine life without him.

Only one for me too. I am 37 and met DH 21 years ago. Had kissed plenty of guys, but have only slept with DH.

I’m thinking six months is anything but long term. You barely know each other.
Three. A teenage first love for a couple of years, a four year young adult relationship but not living together. My husband who I’ve been with for nearly thirty years.

I'm 35. With current DP 3 1/2 years. Previous BF 1 year. XH 3 years.

Just one with dh - 13 years, since I was 30. None before then which I think is unusual but I rarely had any interest from men.

1. Been single for around 3 months since I was 16.

I'm 41 and on my 3rd.

I had a BF from age 16-19, met my ExH at 21 and was with him for 14 years, and met DP (soon to be DH) almost 4 years ago.

1. One was my ex from 16-21. He was emotionally and eventually physically abusive - but appears to be a lovely husband to his new wife. He messaged me to apologise when I was 25 - I didn’t reply but I am glad he appears to have turned himself around.

Second was my husband. We did everything backwards, We were pregnant after three dates and have now been together 7 years.

I did have a FWB before my husband which was very on and off for a year - extremely toxic. I wouldn’t say a relationship though.

3 for 15 years. I'm single through choice and much prefer it.

I'm 34, been with my DH 16 years, married for 13.

I married at 31 and had four 6months+ relationships before that and 14 sexual partners which wasn't Imo enough!

I'm 37, and I've had 6:
16: for 8 months
18: for 6 months
21-25: 4.5 years
26-29: 5 years plus a broken engagement
29-present: married (plus two kids)

Blimey....ok, dragging my brain back:

18-19 first love. With him for 18 months.
Then a few ONS
21-22 Abusive bastard that I got engaged to but ditched after 18 months
22 - 23 Next BF for 9 months. Dumped as I could never have loved him as much as he loved himself.
23 - 26 played the field. Fair few short flings and ONSs
26 - 42 With ex husband. I ended it two years ago. For more reasons than there are days in a year.
42-43 Rebound of 1 year with most recent ex who turned out to be an alcoholic and was mean to DD when he met her. Dumped!
Past 6 months - a one month fling and a few ONS. Now have a FWB and plan to stay single indefinitely!

So 5. Feels like more.

Just the one around 20 years ago. Am now 40 and still looking.

5 including DH who I met aged 29. So four between school and meeting him. LTR at school, LTR at uni, one LTR after uni all of which lasted about two years each, and then long time single, followed by one which just about lasted six months before I met DH.

Started dating at 15 '1st love' did six months. Series of random ONS and flings then met DH 26 years ago and counting. Always went to the 3 months and it went wrong. Remember getting to that point with DH and getting upset thinking that was it-he thought I was bloody mad as I started crying for no apparent reason. He stayed though!
