After letting me think he hadn’t got me anything therefore making me get quite angry and call lhim a bastard. I feel like shit now!

I also lied and said he wasn’t getting what I’d bought for him as he hadn’t got me anything, but I haven’t actually got him anything so am now hiding in bedroom until he’s left so I can get him something on the school run and pretend that I didn’t just buy it.

I think this is meant to be lighthearted..., I got dh a card, didn’t mention anything and thought he’d forgotten. I was planning on laughing at his discomfort when I handed him the card ... I might have called him a lazy bastard too! he got me wine n chocolate so the jokes on me. Neither of us care

Ha, I'm guessing this is light hearted, and most of those words are added for drama!

I understand a little of what you feel. DH suggested exchanging cards and gifts in a more relaxed time after work. An amazon box has sat on the side unopened for a few days so I guessed he hasn't had time to wrap it yet. I haven't written his card yet as I thought I had all day. All good, only actually he had opened and wrapped and put back in the box to try to fool me.

Now I have a card and gift and he just has a gift. I'll write the card today. I'm still feeling bad about it, but also a little put out that his trick has lead to this! It'll pass in he next 10 minutes, but I think I know where you're coming from!
