Think that first squall line is hitting south London now ...

MillicentMargaretAmanda · 09/02/2020 13:15

Ah Nemo sail and resevoir... you're obviously in my rough neck of the woods!

Justaboy · 09/02/2020 13:19

Just looking at the Cam Uni website weather statron it looks as if the wind is abating a bit. See if this link works for you its the graph on the bottom lefthand side shows Gust and Mean speeds albeit in Knots!

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 09/02/2020 13:19

3 trees down here my garden and to top it off all the streets electricity has gone off 😞
No oven - no heat and no tv Angry
Not sure how we’ll cope if our phones run out!

NameChangeNugget · 09/02/2020 13:19

Not too bad in North London. A few fences down and trampolines flying about but, nothing major

Urkiddingright · 09/02/2020 13:21

Windy and raining in West Yorkshire but nothing crazy.

ListenLinda · 09/02/2020 13:28

Bradford West Yorks here. When we left to go to DMs, the rain was horizontal and the wind terrible. Driving back you would just think it’s a typical wet Sunday! A mile down the road has severe flooding though!

BohoBunney · 09/02/2020 13:32

Midlands. A part of the bay window had been ripped off. DP said it’s just a vanity strip and should be ok until he can replace. It looks awful so hopefully nothing else will be damaged in the meantime. There has also been a few trees uprooted and fallen over too.

ProfessorHasturLaVista · 09/02/2020 13:35

Breezy and blue skies in Lancashire now!

PhoneLock · 09/02/2020 13:37

It's been really wild all day in mid Wales but it has just stopped. Calm has returned and I can see patches of blue sky above.

feelingverylazytoday · 09/02/2020 13:40

It's been a very windy day here (SE) saw a few fence panels blown over, but that isn't unusual. It's already peaked, wind has dropped to 30 m/h, according to the hourly forecast.

happymummy12345 · 09/02/2020 13:44

Blue skies, sunshine and a light breeze where I am in Liverpool now. Hope it stays like this.

SirVixofVixHall · 09/02/2020 13:57

Horizontal rain and wild wind earlier. Then suddenly all gone and now is is calm. (West Wales)

kateandme · 09/02/2020 14:01

SapphireSeptember I love them in a way.if they wrre8just moments in weather.the noise ,feel of them etc.but the frightened part I think comes down to bad things that can happen as consequence of them.i am a what if catastrophiser

HitItAsHardAsYouCan · 09/02/2020 14:03

Lancashire:
Still windy and gusty here, but the sun is out and blue skies.

PhilCornwall1 · 09/02/2020 14:09

I lay on the settee from 3am listening to it, I love listening to the wind, so I'm quite enjoying it.

It's eased a bit here, but does seem to pick back up every now and then.

Deelish75 · 09/02/2020 14:10

Lashing it down with rain here in Kent. The wind is really strong, I think we’re at the peak although high winds (40m/hr gusts predicted) are forecast until Monday afternoon, I think we’ll avoid walking through the park in the morning to school. My NDN has had to tether one of the fence panels as it was flapping about and another neighbour’s tree is looking like it’s going to go over, luckily it’s away from our houses but it’ll probably land on some garages which won’t be great.

RightestPersonOnMN · 09/02/2020 14:16

I just nipped the dog out. It was wet and windy but ok until the last 10mins when the rain and wind became biblical and the dog freaked out, trying to hide behind me and climb up me. Both of us were soaking when we got in. I had to throw my clothes in the dryer and he’s had a vigorous rub down.

We walked in surrounding streets, stayed away from parks for obvious reasons. There’s loads of tree debris and lots of wobbly fences.

Hopefully it’ll have settled down by the time he’s due to go out again at 8ish.

Oxo01 · 09/02/2020 14:49

I'm in London, next doors neighbours 20ft tree uprooted luckerly fell in her garden just missing her windows,
Heard moving car was hit by wind few miles away and crashed into a lampost, unsure if anyone hurt.

Hearthside · 09/02/2020 14:51

Lots of trees down around us , rural area so very dodgy out on the roads at moment .Roof ripped off our chicken coop but no chickens in it luckily at moment .Still very rough.

PixieDustt · 09/02/2020 14:51

It's got really bad here over the last 3 hours. A few fences have been blown out too 🥴

ringletsandtwiglets · 09/02/2020 14:55

I'm in Bath. It got suddenly dark and the rain was whipping against the front of the house alarmingly hard. It knocked the TV signal off. That lasted around five mins and has now brightened up and the wind has lessened.

vodkaredbullgirl · 09/02/2020 15:09

Because my fence has gone, the poor dogs have to go out on their leads to pee.

Ted27 · 09/02/2020 15:12

about 40 feet of garden wall collapsed, the other 60 ft will have to come down

Nyctophyllia · 09/02/2020 15:13

It's a three peg day
