CF parking thread - picture included

Saturday night causally watching TV and some CF has parked on my driveway not only getting so close to my gate to my front door but blocked my car in as it's parked in front of the garage.

DP is livid as the ring doorbell has decided to die of battery so we can't see who it is or if they a) went into one of the houses who's back gardens go into the alley/road or b) someone that's gone into the pub despite the car park being empty.

We've checked and the cars not been taxed since October 2019!

My DP is currently sat with the blinds open waiting for whoever it is to come back but I'm pretty sure it's been abandoned for the night whilst someone has a drink or two.... so MN, how long do we think they will park here, who do we think it is and what entertainment might arise

Ring the pub. Give them the Reg and get them to put a shout out (say it's going to be towed or whatever)

Or if you're pretty sure he's gone into the pub, report to crimestoppers. If you just give them the facts they can decide whether or not to send someone out.

How do you know it’s untaxed ?

I would second calling Crimestoppers but say it's for drink driving and you're sure it's also untaxed.

Go into the pub and say,

‘Can anyone help me shift a car that is parked on my drive?’

I’d ring the police again. Someone blocked me in once and I needed to get my car out so that I could get to work. They were able to access the details of the person the car was registered to- they phoned them and told them to move it. They contacted them straight away, the woman wad not only totally unapologetic but had the audacity to have been angry to have had a call from the police!

How do you know it’s untaxed ?

You can put the number plate into the car tax website.

Can you not just go into the pub and shout, really loudly, "The untaxed Ford Fiesta on our driveway will be reported to the DVLA if it's not moved in the next five minutes" (change as necessary). Then sit and wait.

DP has been to the pub and no ones owned up to it - it might be because he's so mad but the LL said she'll keep a listen out as we get on well with her and she knows it's a pisstake. The Ring doorbell has gone straight on charge to 'monitor' outside but I reckon this wind will set it off every 5 seconds.

Lounge shorts for him are just shorts he wears in the house but wouldn't be seen dead in wearing outside in public as they are covered in Peppa Pig characters.

I'd love an irate gentleman coming into our local fully adorned in Peppa Pig loungewear enquiring angrily about a CF Parker. I'd be right out with him to fuck with said car.
