Partner hit me with a pillow this morning in anger

I’m aware a pillow isn’t the worst thing you can throw at someone however my partner has gone into an angry outburst because I haven’t made his breakfast this morning. For the past 2 years I have created a rod for my own back and woken up at 5am (2 and half hours before I am due to leave for work) and made his breakfast and lunch. I mentioned last week I was getting tired so at the end of last week he let me lie in. This morning he is infuriated and said it was one off. Just venting really as I feel so emotional and guilty 😞

@Milosunshine I have been in a situation very similar to this you are welcome to pm me if you want to chat about it. I found women and children first were a great help to me and I'm sure they would be to you too. Please don't ever doubt yourself. It is abuse. I've seen others write Read The Full Thread, so I think it can mean either. I always take RTFT to mean Read The full Thread, that's how I choose to read it.

In my defence if just woken up and was coming on to try and support the OP more S she was on my mind so wasn't the nicest thing to see first thing when I was tired and grumpy already lol

RTFT means read the FUCKING thread. It's used sarcastically.

Yeah, it started as a mumsnet acronym to be used when someone busts in on a 800 post thread and replies with some extremely obvious advice based on the OP only. Some people use it benignly thinking it means FULL thread but those people are wrong.

Personally I use 'read the fucking thread' when someone jumps in 12 pages late and makes some really irrelevant comment like "omg you wash his socks!" when the OP has since been physically assaulted and LTB and is looking for somewhere safe to stay.

'Read the full thread' is relevant when some muppet pipes up with the same advice that OP has already explained wouldn't work for them.

I do find it funny how people don’t have time to read OP’s updates but do have time to post their contribution and then go to the end of the thread to see how others respond to their words of wisdom

@painintheholeSIL sorry if I took your comments the wrong way. I'd just woken up and op was on my mind as I've been in a similar situation. I was probably grumpy and tired and rude and sorry if you were offended.

Tbh I probably deserved it as people have mentioned posters shouldn't advise unless they've read the whole thread. I was trying to mark my place so I could come back when more composed and post to op. I'll know In future

But if someone comes on (which happens a lot) and says, "I haven't RTFT, but...", they are referring to themself. No one else. So since they are talking about themself, are they really saying I haven't Read The Fucking Thread, but... Or are they must likely saying, I haven't Read The Full Thread, but... ?
