I have just discovered, by accident, that if you open another tab in your web browser, you can click on the tab and drag it away so that you have a second separate browser open at the same time. I don't mean split screen but like you have opened a separate thing. Did you all know this already?

I know this is a pathetic thing to get excited about but I was literally like this Shock and then giddy with excitement.

AIBU to be be pleased with my discovery?

I will admit that I am procrastinating this morning and work is dull.

I didn’t know you could cook birds eye waffles in the toaster.

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 31/01/2020 09:29

Waffles in the toaster?? What is this madness?

OP posts:
JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 31/01/2020 09:53

Well clearly no-one is impressed with my discovery other than you Purple! Grin

I am not easily impressed so you should still be proud. Grin

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 31/01/2020 09:58

I have friends who have been doing waffles in the toaster for years. Havent tried it myself as i always forget 🙄

DeltaFlyer · 31/01/2020 10:01

I've known this for years but it blew DH and FILs minds. Who have both been driving a lot longer than I have.
The sun visors in cars are only fixed at the point closest to the window. Once you flip it down you can unhook the other side and swing it out to provide shade from the side.
I often see people looking blinded by the sun from the side but the visor is only flipped down so I don't think a lot of people know.

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 31/01/2020 10:05

I'm with you Delta, I've known about that since I learnt to drive. But the petrol pump arrow thing on the dashboard I only found out about a year ago!

You can cook hash browns in the toaster too!

DorisDances · 31/01/2020 10:07

That aka doesn't stand for something in Latin but just 'also known as'

That bras should only fit on the largest hook when you buy them as they loosen with wear

MouthBreathingRage · 31/01/2020 10:07

Today I learned that Ben and Jerry's have an online obituary to their past flavours, that are now discontinued. No sign of Blondie/Brownie though, so I assume it's still out there somewhere.

Singlebutmarried · 31/01/2020 10:08

If you right click on the browser tab you can open a duplicate tab so if your working on an online case system say, you can keep the main contact page open too

CaptainButtock · 31/01/2020 10:10

I’ve seen people do cheese on toast in the toaster. You lie it on it’s side.

disclaimer If you try this and your house burns down, I will not be held accountable.

GiveHerHellFromUs · 31/01/2020 10:11

I knew all of the above (sorry, I don't know much but just happen to know these things ) but today I read something and I thought "wow that's clever" but I already forgot what it is 🤦🏼‍♀️

However @MouthBreathingRage I did buy some blondie brownie is Asda a few weeks ago. Good luck on your quest.

Areyoufree · 31/01/2020 10:12

You can cook hash browns in the toaster too!

Say what now?

inwood · 31/01/2020 10:13

How on earth can you lie it o the side @CaptainButtock ?!

You can boiled eggs and cook spaghetti and noodles in the kettle.

Isadora2007 · 31/01/2020 10:14

That the ring pull in a can swivels round to hold your straw through.
That the slatted bit in a pot handle is to hold your spoon.
Ummm. I’m sure there are other things I have found amazing but I can’t think of any.

TildaKauskumholm · 31/01/2020 10:16

I used to know someone who heated pizza in his toaster, by lying it on its side. Seemed logical at the time.

GiveHerHellFromUs · 31/01/2020 10:17

@TildaKauskumholm presumably thin crust, and one slice, and he was reheating rather than cooking?

TildaKauskumholm · 31/01/2020 10:20

@GiveHerHellFromUs, yes meant to say reheated, as in the next day, as he said it was more economical than turning the oven on.

DeltaFlyer · 31/01/2020 10:20

I need to get some hash browns and waffles

PrincessHoneysuckle · 31/01/2020 10:21

Waffles taste better from the toaster

GiveHerHellFromUs · 31/01/2020 10:22

That's a new one on me @TildaKauskumholm. I might try it Grin

MereDintofPandiculation · 31/01/2020 10:23

OP You know you can put it back again too?

slipperywhensparticus · 31/01/2020 10:25

You can cook spaghetti easier in the frying pan especially gluten free as it has more space and is less likely to "stick" together
