This thread is absolutely awful.

So much hatred.

I hope @MNHQ delete it.

I cannot even begin to list the reasons why.

DappledThings · 31/01/2020 19:38

I don't recognise this county any more

Same. Paddy Ashdowb summed it up I think:
Brexit, an event about which he felt, “like everybody else, bereft; a sense of personal bereavement. I knew this was coming, a month before. You entertain hopes at the last moment, it’s always a shock. But we drove back to London over Salisbury Plain, it was one of those lovely June mornings. I turned to [his wife] Jane and I think there were probably tears in my eyes, and said, ‘It’s not our country any more.’”

TeddyIsaHe · 31/01/2020 19:40

@MaxNormal that is vile and utterly heartbreaking. I couldn’t live with myself if my vote had caused these horrific, racists cunts the thought that they make the rules.

What a fucking mess.

MaxNormal · 31/01/2020 19:42

I was angry, furiously so, over the last few days. Now I just feel so so sad.

Hagbeth · 31/01/2020 19:42

Happy Brexit day !! 🇬🇧😊

ragged · 31/01/2020 19:43

Happy Brexit In Name Only Day
Waiting for the Huge parties & actual Brexit on 31.12.2020

Longwhiskers14 · 31/01/2020 19:43

You Leavers do realise we spend the next 12 months still under EU rule – but with absolutely no say in what happens? And that we've got as much chance of getting a decent deal from them as Donald Trump's got winning the Nobel Peace Prize? But we've got our country back, so who cares if our economy tanks, our kids are slowly poisoned eating chlorinated chicken and our NHS disintegrates. Knees up fucking Mother Brown, eh? Hmm

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 31/01/2020 19:43

Does MaxNormal’s post with the disgusting notice cause the Leavers any concern?

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 31/01/2020 19:44

Also, what Longwhiskers said.

nicky7654 · 31/01/2020 19:44

@Waxonwaxoff0

Why? Today will go down in history what's sad about celebrating it???

KidLorneRoll · 31/01/2020 19:45

Nope, because waffle waffle brexit good bananas bad waffle.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 31/01/2020 19:46

Loads of stuff goes down in history

We don’t celebrate everything

Mordred · 31/01/2020 19:47

"Does MaxNormal’s post with the disgusting notice cause the Leavers any concern?"

Of course not. Collateral Damage, innit?

DW is one of them forrins who speaks one of them forrin languages sometimes, when she's on the phone to her mum. She even does it in public, walking along the street! GASP!!!!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 31/01/2020 19:47

@nicky7654 because I think people who celebrate stuff like this are sad and need to get a life, that's why. Grin

Im not sad or miserable in the slightest

Someone earlier said this was the best day of their life...now thats sad 😀

Cinammoncake · 31/01/2020 19:49

This thread is absolutely awful.

So much hatred.

It's a reflection of peoples real feelings and the country we live in. MN deleting the thread won't fix this. The government seems unconcerned.

TeddyIsaHe · 31/01/2020 19:49

Ah yes the middle finger emoji. Now who was it that said leavers don’t know how to give a reasoned, educated answer?

Longwhiskers14 · 31/01/2020 19:50

Plus, that notice stuck up in the council flats is absolutely indicative of the shit some people who supported Brexit now think they can get away with. Licensed racism and xenophobia. Disgusting. How can anyone with an ounce of compassion for fellow human beings celebrate that?

Dividednation · 31/01/2020 19:51

Congratulations for splitting up the union guys. Nice work. 👍🏽

MaxNormal · 31/01/2020 19:52

Laughing and middle finger emojis really help put across the desire for reconciliation.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 31/01/2020 19:52

I'm not sad or miserable at all, I just think people who have "Brexit parties" are sad.

Mordred · 31/01/2020 19:52

@nicky7654

Are you against them forrins, nicks?

GrolliffetheDragon · 31/01/2020 19:53

@MaxNormal Where are you? Maybe we need to get some Welsh speakers, Gaelic speakers etc over there to wind up the idiots even more?

NotLangNow · 31/01/2020 19:54

@DappledThings I agree wholeheartedly and loved Paddy. Of course that makes me a raging Left Wing Loony according to some on here. Centrist doesn't occur to those who are rabidly intent on seeing through to the bitter end. Cos it was the Will Of The People, wasn't it?

No. It bloody well was not. And We Have Not Left Yet.

And the ramifications will be felt for Generations.

Yes. That includes our kids. And our Grandkids.
