Mary

MARY

AIBU to cut my losses and run? 🤔

Whynosnowyet · 25/01/2020 12:07

Pete the penis has a certain ring to it...

Owlypants · 25/01/2020 12:08

Get some beads on your pubes and tell him to do his hail marys or just start calling his penis the slug

damnthatanxiety · 25/01/2020 12:08

“Your Mary feels so good tonight”

Oooooooooh Noooooooooo Grin
Just not coping with that!!!!

Yourblogness · 25/01/2020 12:09

@damnthatanxiety, certainly has a ahem drying out factor to it doesn’t it

OP posts:
AmelieTaylor · 25/01/2020 12:10

In various regions ‘Mary’ is a common term, it’s not like he’s calling it ‘Suzy’ or whatever.

He’s trying not to! As long as he knows what he’s doing with ‘Mary’ I wouldn’t be bothered, as long as he’s TRYING to call it something more acceptable (to you) 🤷🏻‍♀️

justilou1 · 25/01/2020 12:10

Madonna/Whore complex, much?

Yourblogness · 25/01/2020 12:11

@justilou1, interesting observation. How did you come to that conclusion

OP posts:
MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 25/01/2020 12:12

Is he Northern? Grin

user1498572889 · 25/01/2020 12:13

@damnthatanxiety
😂😂😂🤮 I cant deal with that either.

damnthatanxiety · 25/01/2020 12:14

justilou1 I don't see the M/W complex connection unless you are literally referring to 'Mary'. But as 'Mary' is an established name for the vagina (apparently), I doubt his use of that name has any religious connections. M/W complex sees a man unable or unwilling to be sexual with his love partner but see other women who are sexually attractive to him as whores. Doesn't really fit here. Thankfully.

Bluerussian · 25/01/2020 12:15

I heard that years ago also the bloke's bit as 'Johnny'. Johnny and Mary aye? Could be worse.

Boireannachlaidir · 25/01/2020 12:16

If he's got any sense he'll stop calling it Mary when he sees that it doesn't get him anywhere... total turn off.

Panpastels · 25/01/2020 12:16

According to urban dictionary:
a mary]]
Slang for vagina.
'Im going to find myself a Mary to fill tonight'
Shock

handinclove · 25/01/2020 12:19

No, just no. I shuddered when you gave the example.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 12:20

He actually says this while you are engaging in intercourse?

iklboo · 25/01/2020 12:22

How old is he? I suppose Mary is (marginally) better than derogatory slang for it but it's not very.....romantic...is it?

Cheeryandmerry · 25/01/2020 12:23

Mary is a completely normal name ......as in William (Willy) and Mary, Stuart King and Queen. It’s completely acceptable......

........if you’re five years old.

Otherwise, no. Just no.

Skittlesandbeer · 25/01/2020 12:24

Um yes, there is a connection between Mary and Madonna. Surely even the UK regional variants acknowledge that much?

Certainly my southern regions are cringing, it’s so obvious?!

peardrops1 · 25/01/2020 12:24

This is a good candidate for the ick thread

DareDevil223 · 25/01/2020 12:25

It just seems to slip out.

dontgobaconmyheart · 25/01/2020 12:27

How do you sleep with this man OP, that's grim Confused. Probably some weird latent emotional problems he has to do with women/sex/shame. Maybe that was what he and his ex called it..

From a grown adult man, and after I had pecifically asked him to stop talking about MY body in a puerile and creepy way- no, its embarrassing, disrespectful and incredibly off putting. He sounds very far from perfect.

ChubbyMummy12 · 25/01/2020 12:27

I've heard someone call it a growler...

Freezingold · 25/01/2020 12:36

He wouldn't have been in their again after he'd called mine a Mary the first time.
Grin

I agree. Standards!

Lunafortheloveogod · 25/01/2020 12:37

You need to call his dick Tiny Tim... it’s a poor soul of a thing after all Grin

There’s a big different between calling it a hairy Mary laughing than trying to make it dirty talk a cream filled Mary sounds like a weird cake from a Christian bakery Grin

BreconBeBuggered · 25/01/2020 12:38

Most slang names used by families with children to refer to female genitalia would sound a bit off-putting in a sexual context. 'Mary' was familiar enough to me as a child, but as an incomer I knew that fanny was the more common local term, though that seemed to have slightly ruder connotations to me, so maybe there's something in the W/M theory. The new girls across the road used to call theirs a Mimi, which seemed hilarious to me.
What would you prefer him to call it? Can't you just train him to use your preferred term?
